Q: Could I just buy the base, since it fell and cracked?

Hi Julie. I'm not completely sure but I checked their website and it said to call (800) 426-7101 for replacement parts. Otherwise, you can buy the whole thing from one of us.

The onion chopper is designed mainly for all different varietals of onions. You likely could chop a very fresh, firm tomato on it however!

Q: How many blades are there?

the whole dicing cutting assembly is a blade. Usually, only one comes with the unit. It is removable and washable.

Q: Will the blades from Vidalia Chop fit into this one? My base is broken. Thanks
