Made the puck wetter
DIdn't feel it made much difference in the espresso, but made the cleaning harder as the pucks was wet and mostly stuck inside the portafilter.

If you place this normcore puck screen 0.2 into empty portafilter and go through usual espresso making procedure, the screen could bend. If it is happened you can straighten it back: put it in the pan under press, pour water and boil for 20 minutes or so. Then straighten with gloves on.

i think this thinner version is pretty good. i tried a thicker brandless one previously and felt wasnt as useful the thinner profile helps alot with distribution without alter the pressure drop. Only thing it is really thin. afraid i might bend it:D

Keeps shower screen nicely clean, and avoid some channeling, all without losing the headspace that you lose when you use a typical metal filter. This way you still benefit from the slow headspace fillup mimicking preinfusion if you don't have pre infusion capabilities. Only downside, it's difficult to remove to clean. Expect to have to push the screen in slightly to raise one edge up, then it will fall out when the portafilter is inverted.

works well enough with my Gaggia Classic, single shot BUT the screw in the Group head made an indentation in the screen. I hope this doesn't matter and that no metal will flake off over time. I can't see any way to avoid this. using less coffee might prevent this but then the water flows too quickly
