Great product
Good quality clean very little smoke and free flowing solder pool when used. With it being rosin cored very little to no flux needed when soldering

Good 'lead free' solder...
I have used solder on electronics now for over 55 years, mainly the old lead type though, which wasn't particularly pleasant to use, especially the smell of the resin (or rosin).Of course because of the omission of lead in favour of copper then solder is much lighter and in this case you get 50g of 1.0mm solder for £9.99 (at the time of this review, 4 July 2023) but I would have preferred a thinner solder for my work, such as 0.6mm or 0.8mm, which I normally buy, but unfortunately I wasn't given the choice, but having said that I did like the solder, the only downside of lead free solder is that you have to use a higher temperature on the iron to melt it, which in turn makes it more likely to damage components with heat. Conclusion :A good solder "of it's type" but I am a little old fashioned and still use leaded solder in the majority of cases, especially on older circuit boards which already have leaded solder on them.Overall though a good product and I give it 4 stars because I have to use higher temperatures on the soldering iron to melt it.

Excellent for Micro Soldering
This is excellent for micro soldering work. It is pleasing to get it lead free with a rosin core.

Typical lead-free solder, but you don't actually receive 50 grams of it on the spool.
This is a reasonable enough solder in use and sure, technically speaking unleaded is in theory safer than leaded, the actual dangers of the lead in leaded solder is massively overblown. I do like to keep a stock of both leaded and unleaded solder on hand for different projects and for the sake of compatibility on repairs. If I'm working on modern electronics I use unleaded but if I have any choice I'll still be using 60/40 solder for my own projects until I can't find it any more. The main concern most people should have with soldering in any quantity is the proper ventilation of the rosin flux present in all solders. At the end of the day the solder type you use as a hobbyist matters very little, if you take reasonable and sensible safety precautions when it comes to ventilation you will be fine with either leaded or unleaded. The biggest difference is the ease of use and the difference in melting points, otherwise they do the same job. This is my personal favourite thickness of solder, 0.6mm gives me plenty of control and I can saturate a larger component if needed, so it really is the best of both worlds in my opinion. It melts fine with my SQ-001 around 320-350c and it flows as reasonably well with some added flux. Of course this means you have to work quickly at each joint to avoid heat damage and you’re going to run through tips slightly faster, but this stuff isn’t all that hard to work with.I decided to weigh the spool of solder and found that the total weight including the spool and solder was 50.42 grams, which means you aren’t even getting the advertised amount of product. The spool probably weighs somewhere in the region of 5–15 grams, which means a significant portion of the ‘50 grams’ of solder is actually the spool it’s wound onto. The price for the provided amount of unleaded solder is more than twice what I would typically pay, my usual 100 gram spools are £9.99 for the same thickness, flux and metallic make-up as this one from Meccion. If this was around the £5-6 range it’d be more tolerable but I can't see myself repurchasing this when I can get more than twice as much for the same cost and other brands actually give you the advertised weight. If they actually provided the expected amount of solder for a more reasonable price point this could easily be a 5-star product but the misleading quantity and expensive price point ruin an otherwise decent product.
