This is a brilliantly written book by Sara Wolf
Forget me Always is the second book in the Lovely Vicious trilogy. It picks up where book one left off with Isis in the hospital after Leo attacked Isis and her mother. This is a brilliantly written book by Sara Wolf. The witty dialogue and angst-filled romance continues from the first book. Isis is one of the best lead females in any book, any genre. Her never-ceasing, unique thinking mind and smart mouth are addictive. Her tangents make this book worthy of a read all by themselves. With Isis's selective amnesia concerning Jack any progress the two made in book one is halted. My heart went out to Jack. He had just started feeling again, only to have Isis's memories of him disappear and the Ice Prince resurface carrying an overwhelming amount of guilt. I read each page with the hope that her memory would resurface. I need her fixed, so that she can help mend Jack. Sophia plays more of a main role in this story and the big mystery is revealed. Several aspects of the plot were easy to guess, but there were a few surprises. Sophia should be more of a sympathetic figure. Her story is tragic on many levels, but I found myself rooting against her (even hoping the surgery would be unsuccessful) so that she would stop interfering with Jack and Isis. Not sure if that's intentional or unavoidable writing or if I am just terrible. New and old dangers surface elevating the overall tension. The characters are deeply complex in this book making them so compelling. Jack and Isis above all others, but Sophia, Wren, and the other side characters are fully developed and flawed as well. The story progressed nicely and was completely entertaining. The ending was not a surprise, but was painful nonetheless. With the emotions of the characters, realtionships in the balance, and several loose ends, I can't wait to read the final book. I desperately want Jack and Isis to find their HEA, but with these two I'm not sure it will happen. Between outside influences and the way they sabotage their own happiness, it may not be possible. War might be the best we get from these two, but it's obvious that they are meant to be. He makes her feel safe, she makes him loosen up; they make each other feel more alive. Please, can I get a HEA!

Forget Me Always
"Received an advance reader copy for a fair review."Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read and review Forget Me Always by Sara Wolf! This second book in the Lovely Vicious series is as wonderful as the first!Isis puts her memories of Jack together slowly and bit by bit, while Jack believes he should have been quicker to stop Leo from harming anyone. Isis and Sophia become friends and it seems that even more secrets are hidden with Sophia. Isis is released from the hospital and tries to get back to normal life. Jack has taken up boxing to deal with the frustrations and guilt he feels in not keeping Sophia or Isis out of danger. Leo's trial is coming up and Jack wants to testify so Leo will be put away and unable to harm Isis or her mom again. Kayla and Isis keep trying to figure out what happened all those years ago with Jack, Avery, Wren and Sophia. Suspense, intrigue, loyalty, clever wit and endearing charm and humor round out this book - 5 stars! The humor Isis brings to the story helps to lighten the darkness that the group has been dealing with. I appreciate the author adding the bonus content and writing in Wren's point of view to give readers a glimpse of what's to come and we don't get to know what Wren is thinking most of the time. The author's note shows empathy and personal experience with tragedy.

... books back to back but I’m almost positive I like this book better than the first
It’s hard to judge when you read books back to back but I’m almost positive I like this book better than the first. Not because its better in some way, but because we see more of the inner workings of Isis. We learn more about her past as well as Jack’s past. Things were heavily hinted in the first book what he did but no one ever goes right out and says it. We also get more hints at Nameless. It’s clear Isis isn’t over what happened but everyday she’s making it a little bit further from the darkness that surrounded her when she first moved to Ohio.Isis and Jack may never be the same after she forgot him. He’s receded so far into himself that a giant glacier blacks him from the population. Isis wants nothing to do with him and Knife Guy is giving her a piece of his mind regarding the whole situation. This books ending was done far better than Love Me Never and although my heart cried out for everyone I could see the necessity in what was done. Somethings going to have to give. The question is, will it be worth it in the end?

Forget Me Always
Amazing book. The writing was really good, it didn’t make the really deep stuff romantic, it was truthful and meaningful. And thank the good heavens above the main girl character had a BACKBONE!! that deserves some claps because so many authors do not give women that respect. If you are wondering if you should read this book/series, here’s your sign... DO IT. especially because this is a review 4 years later.

Saw that coming, missed connections abound
What this author seems to do really well is have many threads throughout the plot all at once, pulling your attention to multiple threads at different times. We learn more about the mystery and the different players. I do find it frustrating that every time there is some traction between Isis and Jack the rug seems to be pulled out from under them. I'm not a masochist by nature so I'm hoping they figure this out and learn how to trust each other moving forward otherwise this series will just become painful to read. They make some nice strides in this book though. Again, this book kept me interested from the first page to the last. I will definitely be getting the next book.

Perfekt

Worth a read
What can I say? A great follow up from the first book. Very emotional. I am not sure if I liked the path the Sophia story took, but I can understand why the author took that path. This book also has a good way of bringing up sensitive subjects. Thinking back about my own teenage years a lot of the actions and feelings are familiar.

Keeping it going.
Wish this was combined with 1st and 3rd book. Feels like a way to make people just buy more books.
