I like the long straps because they were easy to cut to length. The faux leather is not thick, and I was able to pop holes in the straps easily. One of the latches of the sword frog broke as I was adjusting them. The latches are flimsy, so be careful if you adjust them. Ultimately, I fit my sword scabbard through it, and it held just fine. I don't like the belt because I was putting some weight on it, and I think it is too flimsy. I will buy a latching belt, so I don't have to do an intricate knot to get it to stay tight. I think it is a good starter kit, and adding to it will be easy. The shoulder pads shifted a lot, and I had to fix them occasionally. The fair I attended did not allow glass bottles, so I used that pouch to hold my phone. I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra, and my phone was easily accessible while also being secure. Throughout the day, three different kids called me a knight, and I thought that was cool. I prefer mercenary, but hey, you can look like a knight, according to three random kids.

Obviously these pieces are one size fits all so I had to do a lot of cutting excessively long straps, and adding extra holes for the fasteners for a more snug fit. I probably could have tightened up the shoulder pads as they were kind of slipping throughout the day, but overall these can be worn by a smaller person if you’re ok with trimming it down. Also this is clearly a mass produced product, but when you’re spending an entire day in black faux leather in the heat, the lighter/flimsier materials were actually very welcome. And as a smaller framed person, some of those higher end shoulder pieces probably wouldn’t have come close to fitting.

This was a great buy for the money I spent! I wore this too, three Halloween parties and due to it being made of good quantity material for cosplay style costumes is durability held up! It helped me achieve the look that I was going for and with S functionality it was a good fit And looked great on me.

Bought for my husband and the material is a pretty thick "leather" he loves it, and it'll go perfectly with his Renaissance gear that has been slowly falling apart. The long cloak is shear and see through, a long with the hood, but they'll be great for summer months because of that.

Looks like it was made well for what it is. It’s cheap for a reason. Looks good from a distance. Good enough for a one time party or parade.

Everything is as advertised. Cape is a little smaller than expected. The shoulder armor will fit a large chest 60" but not large arms. Might put some bungees on there.
