My wife likes to change framed pictures four times a year to match the seasons. The hook for these pictures is on our large stone fireplace and is quite high. The ladder she was using had to be placed sideways to the fireplace because of the wide hearth. I figured it was an accident waiting to happen. I researched ladders and chose this one because of its weight and the ability to have the back legs shorter and sitting on the hearth. This made all the difference! Now she faces the fireplace instead of being sideways, plus the height when fully extended is perfect, and it’s steady as a rock. She said it felt perfectly safe and put her at the perfect height for changing out the pictures. She loves it and I love that she feels safe using it.

The ladder is exactly as described on line, it is sturdy, extends to 5 steps, and folds very flat for storage. The ladder is heavy and cumbersome to move. These are the areas I should have paid more atttention to in the information.

And never spent this kind of money on a step stool, but it's been totally worth it. I keep it collapsed to shorest length when in the back of my truck or trailer and doesn't take away more room than previous ones. When extended it's as useful as an actual ladder. I've had it set up on some surfaces at work an inch out of level / uneven and this thing held up without getting distorted/bent. The latches are quick and easy to use. I definitely believe this will be more durable than the department store typical stamp steel step stools. I've had plenty of steel two steps that lasted but whenever I got a three-step the always broken short order get one of the pivot points.

Liked: Very sturdy Light I had to replace a ceiling light at the top of a staircase; the light was about 3 feet out from the top stairs. The was no way to use a standard ladder. The electrician waned $100 just to replace the light fixture – which is very easy. He wanted to come to the house to look at reaching the fixture – that would have been another $60 – just to show up. He said he would have to bring scaffolding or something – maybe another $100, more? All in it would have been $260 or more. The ladder cost $149 Perfect size for paint the ceiling. Nonslip footings mandatory for my job on the stairs.

This is a very sturdy ladder that folds up nicely and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I also like the extra support at the top with room to place tools.

So far it has been very useful. It has held up well. What is nice about it is it’s light to carry around on jobs. It also is nice to have different height adjustments. I would buy a again.

Easy to use, but somewhat awkward
