This book has absolutely incredible pictures!! There is a fantastic photo of the twin towers I'm so delighted with my purchase!

Ein tolles Buch, das viele Wolkenkratzer in New York porträtiert. Ich hätte mir etwas längere Texte gewünscht, man bekommt aber einen guten Eindruck von den Gebäuden, die Fotografien sind fantastisch!

I have the original version of this book, which came out a few years ago, and it's one of my favorites. Needless to say, I was happy to see it being re-released, given the new buildings which have gone up since it came out, or are in the process of going up.This book isn't just a rehash of the first edition- in many cases, it uses new photographs, and in some cases text has been changed. Now, some buildings that were in the previous edition didn't make the cut this time- 100 Park Avenue, New Yorker Hotel, and Marine Midland Bank building, aka 140 Broadway. However there are several new entries here, including the oh-so-controversial 432 Park Avenue and One57. This book also has a couple of pages devoted to the buildings currently under construction (such as Hudson Yards, 425 Park Avenue, and 2 and 3 WTC), all the better to imagine how NYC's skyline is going to change even more in the next few years.
