Does the inner pocket have a zipper?

No, but it’s very deep. Can’t imagine how anything would fall out of it, at least while you’re wearing it.

Would this be a good "indoor" jacket if you work in a cooler environment (like a hospital) like me? Looking for something to wear over my scrubs.

I work in the golf industry. I wear it outside in temperatures up to the low 60s, maybe mid 60s if it is very windy and overcast. Also, there are draw-strings on the inside that make it easy to "taylor" the jacket and avoid "access material" getting caught up during busy work schedules.
