Eucalan No Rinse Delicate Wash - Lavender 16.9 OZ

I’ve been knitting for quite a few years but have always used store bought acrylic/synthetic yarn. Just recently, I’ve dove into the world of natural and hand dyed yarn. When you spend that much time on an item (weeks usually), you really want to care for it. Not to mention, the last step in knitting is blocking, and you definitely want to do that right! I was concerned with how my projects will behave with just regular wool wash and even more so, how I’m going to clean them in the future. Then i found this product! It’s perfect! The no rinse means little agitation on my projects and it’s easy on the hand dyed yarn! There is no fragrance so that’s great! You don’t need very much every time, so it’s a lot of washes in one bottle, great value! My husband started using it to clean his knee pads too since he’s concerned throwing it in the wash would stretch it out. The no rinse means it gets cleaned but he doesn’t have to wring it out! Will definitely get more of these when I run out, down the road.

I really love this wash for wool and cashmere. The lanolin makes a noticeable difference, it cleans well but leaves everything soft instead of dry or stiff. My wool comes out feeling fresh and well cared for. I also use this for my baby’s woolen clothes, and it’s been very gentle on skin with no irritation. You really don’t need to use much for each wash too, so one bottle of this stuff will last you a while.I also like that it’s unscented, it makes it easy to use and gentle on delicate fabrics, and on your skin. I haven’t had any issues with residue.Overall, this is my go-to for washing wool and other delicate natural fibers. It works exactly as described and I’d definitely recommend it.

This is such a lovely soap I was able to hand wash some special pieces and it cleaned effectively and has a very nice fragrance and you don't use a lot of soap so I think for the amount you get and what you have to use is well worth the money

I wanted to machine wash my double sheepskin but read mixed reviews about getting it wet, especially the leather backing. I found Eucalan & decided to give it a try.The sheepskin came out clean & smelling great, & the leather backing was soft & supple. It does take hours to dry, away from the sun with good air circulation. I am certain this product will work great w/wool sweaters & blankets.

TL;DR -- it got these pants clean just by soaking them! Great product & I definitely recommend it.I've gotten a lot of wool clothing over the past year and a half. Eucalan does an excellent job cleaning it, and keeping it soft and odor-resistant. It's easy to use-- add 1 teaspoon per gallon of lukewarm water (I usually use 1 tablespoon in a 3-gallon bucket). Gently squeeze the water through clothing, soak for 15+ minutes (I do half an hour), squeeze out the excess & lay clothes on a drying rack. Happily my washing machine has a "drain & spin" setting, so I use that instead of squeezing out the water by hand. The Eucalan is most effective if you DON'T rinse it out.I slopped a bunch of sludge-water on my pants while cleaning a plaster trap (see photo) but was confident that Eucalan could clean them. I didn't get around to washing them until a day later, but I still didn't bother pre-washing or rinsing out the stain first. I just used twice as much Eucalan, since it says to use more for heavily soiled items, and followed the directions above. The pants came out perfectly clean, just a few little specks left in the stitching which were only noticeable since I was looking closely.I personally prefer the lavender scent, but since I bought the unscented first, I've been using a bit of each, for each load.

I have known this as a brand favorited by knitters and crocheters who use wool, and also fine washables. I use a laundry facility in my complex and the washers only have one water level, and even the delicate cycle on the dryers is very hot. Two gallons of tepid water, 2 teaspons of this product cleaned four silky bras, and 10 silky boy briefs. I plan to use it come winter with my hand-knit wool socks. Looks like a lot for such a little bottle, but at 1 tsp/gallon and no rinsing, it saves on water also.

Used to wash a cashmere sweater. I like that I didn’t need to rinse. Seemed to work well. Not a strong scent. Bottle will last a long time.

I’ve changed many wardrobe pieces to merino wool and this is the best wash I’ve found to protect and clean merino wool. Plus it doesn’t even need to be rinsed out, although I do rinse a bit. A little bit goes a long way and the smell leaves my wool items smelling divine! My clothes look like new and smell so good when they dry. Colors stay bright and it amazes me how much “dirt” comes off into the water just from soaking and gentle agitation for five minutes. For me it’s a must have to protect my expensive merino pieces.
