Great Yoga DVD for Dystonia!
I've had dystonia most of my life. Up until two years ago I was going to a regular yoga class in my community. I am so happy to have found a yoga DVD that I can use now that my health issues have progressed. The chair asanas are a great place to start if you are new to yoga or are not up to doing the standing poses. Right now, the sitting sequences are a challenge for me but I plan to work up to the standing poses. The DVD provides several different practices so that you can find an appropriate one for the time of day or your situation. It's easy to follow and the instructions are clear. I have the book too but yoga books are difficult for me to follow. The DVD is awesome! Thinking of sending one to my 82 year old mother who actually has far fewer health problems than I have at age 49 but has become sedentary. I think it would be safe and work well for someone in that situation too. Thank you for making the DVD!

Not for me
Chair based exercises which are easy to do. Just find the voiceover rather dreary and annoying. I would prefer something a bit more motivational. Have been struggling to find an exercise dvd which will help with my Parkinsons Disease. This isn't it.

Still learning
Having previously been a bodybuilder for over 15 years. I was diagnosed with Dystonia a movement disorder. I fought hard to keep with the gym as that was not only my hobby, in reality it was my life. I ended up having to give up. Finally, was able to get proper diagnosis after much progression. No way to stop it, no cure. So, I thought this Yoga thing might help. Nothing else has, physical therapy, Medications. I am still trying to learn yoga technique, and change what I am used to bodybuilding.... I think there is a learning curve there. Relaxation vs pushing through and using muscle strength. So, I am taking it slow. So time will tell. The DVD is well done! Easy to follow! I would recommend.. Highly.

Here's How!
This DVD goes with the book of the same title and might even suffice by itself. Sometimes it not only helps understand the exercise to see it in action, it also is encouraging. You think, Oh I can do that if they can. There is also the good old monkey-see-monkey-do principle.Where there is movement disorder there is often fatigue and/or pain. Anything is worth a try to combat those. I recommend this DVD.

finally I found something I could use
Remaning active, mobile, and at peace with my body is very important to a Parkinson patient. I have looked at and tried so many different things but, until I received this DVD and began to use it, I saw no improvement in that area. The author is patient and it is so helpful to find someone who has PK and understands the symtoms. It is worth a million to have it to help me stretch and be at peace with my body.I would reccomend this to anyone with any type of movement disorder.

I was really hopeful that I'd like this DVD but honestly it's really boring
I was really hopeful that I'd like this DVD but honestly it's really boring. I think there's good content so I want to give it another try.

FANTASTIC !
I really enjoy the DVD. It doesn't take much of my time to do it 3 times a day. It's worth every penny spent, which isn't very much compared to other DVD's. I took the DVD to my doctor. He was impressed and told me to keep doing it 3 times a day. The deep breathing has helped with anxiety and the yoga moves with the cramping.Thank you for putting this product out there for PD community.

not for beginners
Too difficult for a beginner, the section for leg and trunk are all done on the floor, which is impossible for me.. Very advanced .. Very disappointed .
