ZOOT SPORTS Men's Active Tri 8-inch Short

I am a 35 to 35 waist, 185 pounds, 5'11"I first ordered Pearl Izumi Men's Select Tri Short and the band at the bottom of the shorts was very tight and uncomfortable as others had noted, had to return them. The Zoot shorts were perfect. the band is wide and comfortable. I had ordered the medium and the large. Opted for the large since the medium fit but just too tight all over. My first use with hem was a 1 mile run then 10 mile bike followed by a 2 mile run. Enough pad in the seat and able to run without even noticing the pad. Very pleased. Will likely buy another pair.

Seriously.. I mean seriously.. these are the best.. fits great.. great for a ride.. great for swimming.. dries super quick.. everything that you could expect and more.. has these cute little pockets you can't even see.. but deep enough for a key that won't pop out..So comfy.. fits perfect.. long enough not to look too weird.. logo even looks great with out being crazy..i was sooo impressed by these.. After reading a bunch of reviews, these seemed like they were going to be the best.. They did not let me down.. I'll surely get another pair..

I am 5'10" and weigh 176. I have a 33" waist. My wife tells me I have large thighs and butt. After reading reviews I often saw the advice to go up a size. So, I ordered a large. They fit okay, but I wish I had ordered a medium. With the large there is no compression. Tri shorts are supposed to fit tight and provide some compression. Next time I will follow the sizing chart. That said, I do like the shorts. They are comfortable and I like the two side pockets. They come down to just above the knee just like the picture shows. The fleece insert stays out of the way while running.

I did my first Sprint triathlon a few weeks ago and my brother bought me a pair of these, then I bought another that were the next size down. On a 22-mile bike ride, I was pleased with the padding, since it's so light (for swimming) I wasn't expecting much protection. On the whole, I was pretty pleased.

This is the most comfortable swimsuit I have ever worn. I assumed it would be too revealing, too uncomfortable, etc, and that I would ONLY use it in a triathlon, but would go back to my regular swimsuit for regular swimming. I was wrong. This is my swimsuit now. My old trunks have sat in the closet for the past year since I bought these.

I own other pairs of tri shorts, but I am very happy to have purchased this pair. It has very little padding in the seat - basically just a thicker piece of material to prevent chafing. Other pairs have actual chamois - just narrower to accommodate running. This does not, but that is not necessarily a problem.I will use this as a competition short, and for occasional brick training or multi-sport training. So now, running shorts for running, bike shorts for biking, and swimming shorts for swimming. If I ever need to mix the above however, these Zoot shorts are the only ones I would even consider using!

I was afraid these were going to be a little short, but just completed a spring tri in them and they worked great.

Tri shorts can get stupid expensive so these provide pretty decent bang for your buck. I would like more compression in the thighs, but they look good and felt good on race day. Padding doesn't look like you have a load in your pants but still comfortable enough on 15-20+ mile bike rides (and I don't have a great seat, but do have a taint of steel). I'll gladly take these over shelling out $75-$100 or more just to pretend I'm the best at exercise
