I love this book and talk about it with my friends often because we share the same background of being sons and daughters of immigrants learning to navigate life as a third culture kid honoring Christ. I appreciate that Anh doesn't shy away from the gut wrenching details of her past, and is quick to assign hope and God's presence in her circumstances. I feel she does an amazing job of keeping her authentic tone while communicating her dependency on the Lord to keep hope alive and make it to the next day.There were humbling, hard earned experiences she talks about that I heavily resonate with and helps me in my own walk with Christ. Specifically towards the end, where she talks about living a redeemed life from suffering means we get to obtain wisdom from joy as well! How wonderful!This book is an amazing read for those who are searching for healing that is transcendent past material wealth, differing life stages, and mental health. She also offers practical steps to help self-regulate and journal the hardest of thoughts to work through them. But most importantly, she is humble enough to suggest her readers to get help from a licensed and trained counselor/therapist along with other avenues of support while using her book as a tool! This differentiates from self-help books that guide the reader towards self-sufficiency rather than grow in self-awareness, which leads me to trust and apply what she offers in this book (:It took me some time to finish this book, but I loved reading it through and through. I also adore the aesthetic as I'm aesthetically driven and was more compelled to pick up the book than most.

She is thoughtful and reflective in the narrative of her life. Through her pain and suffering, it's comforting to read her healing and blossoming journey. It gives hope to all of us!

Forever Home is more than just a book—it’s an invitation to allow God to make His dwelling within us. Lin’s testimony has equipped me to face life’s challenges with a renewed sense of trust and hope, knowing that no matter where life takes me, my true home is always in Him.

Ahn has such a warm and genuine voice and her life points to the ultimate life and healing warmth: Jesus Christ. Reading this book feels like a warm hug. The chapter that impacted me the most was the one on worth. Ahn’s skillful weaving of personal anecdote, an impactful sermon she heard, and biblical truth reminded me that God has written His tender love into His creation and that love is where my value and worth lies. It’s drawn me closer to the Father and reminded me that He delights in me. I have been following Ahn for years on YouTube and it has been beautiful to watch her growth in and thanks to the Lord’s work in and through her. So proud of you Ahn! I was single when I first watched her, got married, overcame the pandemic, and am now pursuing my dream career. She is my guiding light through all the seasons in my life. When I discovered that she has a book, even though I live in the Philippines, I made sure to have a copy of her book.True enough, her book helped and enlightened me in so many ways.
