The Mud Pan Whip Mixing Paddle

This is a product that I wish I had a long time ago. It makes mixing hot mud so easy and fast. I remodel homes for a living and used to hate having to mix 20 min mud. Now I have no issue with it and get it done it half the time.Makes life much easier if you do lots of drywall work.I did notice it leaves marks in your pan where the mixing paddle hits the side. The paddle is metal and so far it just looks cosmetic marks to the pan but could become an issue further down the road, possibly scratching or denting pan but I’ve only been using for a month now. But I would rather just go get another mud pan vs not having this tool.Built sturdy as well. Solid metal. Doesn’t look like it will break or bend easy.

Great for plaster mix

This product works great with my metal sheetrock mud tray. I've tried other ways of mixing, but this has been the fastest and best. I would recommend it.

I've been a drywall finisher for 38 years, this is a very convenient tool to have if you just want to make a pan of mud.

I was remiss at spending $20+ for this... but when I add up the time I've saved on jobsites mixing fast set, and plaster... 5 minute and 20 minute mix... this buys me almost an extra 60 seconds working time with my 5 minute mix and plaster... worth the money... if you are a contractor, buy this... keep a 5 gallon bucket of water handy to drop it into when you finish mixing so you can go straight to tape coating... I do a lot of drywall patch work in my handyman business... this is perfect... and essential tool... stop debating and buy it. It will pay for itself in your time on the first 2 or 3 jobs... maybe faster if you have a hired guy mixing for you while you spread.

The only question you have to ask yourself is, "am I going to be mixing drywall mud in a pan?" If you answer yes, you need this tool. I have been using beaters that were made for kitchen use for mixing pan mud for years, but lets face it, it's not what they are designed for, Durabond is not cake batter or frosting, so when I saw the mud pan mixer for $29.00 I hesitated a bit. But now having it and using it a fair amount I have to say overall I'm happy with it. The only complaint I have is for the money I think they should of hot dip galvanized it or applied some other anti rust coating.It came with some poorly applied paint, and I did have some rusting on it fairly soon. I cleaned it up and applied some POR paint to it, and that has stuck fairly well. Overall great tool!
