When I opened it up to use it as substrate that only needed to be pasteurized it was completely sterile it was unbelievably clean and worked like a charm the mycelium took to it like it was second nature and completely culinated it and it just a couple days

I mixed in less than a pound of grain spawn 2 weeks ago and I already have mushrooms growing. This is a great substrate. No problems with contamination.

I usually mix and pasteurize my own sub but I wanted to try out something that was ready to use to see if it was worth the price and ultimately chose this product to test out. One of the filter patches was slightly ripped when I opened the package. It was the one on the underside, so I'm hoping nothing got in and I immediately covered it with micropore tape. Added 1.5 lbs of clean grain spawn directly to the bag and resealed so I guess we'll see how colonization goes 🤷🏾‍♀️Update: Aug 14, it's mostly fully colonized but it's been stalled for a bit. I don't see any obvious contams but I'm gonna give it till the end of the month before opening to properly inspect what's going on

Haven’t harvested yet but there’s no contam after a month so it worked as advertised!

The sub came with perfect field capacity and I'm sure ill be able to get 3 to 4 flushes from it! This is definitely my new go to sub!
