Good value for what they are, fitting my cycle frame perfectly.

Due to persistent wet weather I had to give in and put mudguards on my lovely eMountain bike, but they didn't come with attachments for the front forks. These do the job really well. I only question why the bolts are so ridiculously long. I'm going to have to cut these down but that always risks damaging the thread.

Clamps look fine and would have done the job but contrary to the product description which said would fit up to 40mm it did not. My vernier caliper measured my suspension forks as a smidgeon below 40mm so for all intents and purpose we'll call it 40mm. fitted clamp and found there was no way bolt could be threaded through and to be fair I don't see it fitting a 39mm either.

Description isn't accurate. 37-40mm is what measurement? You would assume fork leg diameter. In which case you'd be wrong as there's no way it will do up around a fork leg in that diameter range. Circumference maybe? Which would be mental, but it could be, who knows? I don't. Five stars to Amazon for refunding it without me having to send it back.

Right size for my bik

I didn't see any pictures showing how the 37-40mm looked, so I took some measurements with a micrometer and attached the pictures in this review. Diameter 36.55mm = firmly pressed together; Diameter 37mm = ~2-3mm gap; Diameter 40mm = ~10mm-13mm gap; In terms of quality, the bracket is made of a sturdy feeling plastic that is thinner on the back and thicker on the side with the bolt. The threaded part of the bolt is about 35mm long. The plastic ring has an inset where the locking nut fits in to prevent it rotating while installing, and there's a locking washer for the other side. This should work pretty well if your fork/frame has a diameter from ~37 to 40mm, but would work even better at slightly smaller sizes using some rubber or padding to keep it snug. It might be a better option to order the 40-43mm size if you need to fit a 38 to 40mm diameter, then use padding to fill any gaps. Giving 5 stars since it does exactly what it needs to, even though I think the advertised sizing is too optimistic. Hopefully these pictures will help you make a more informed purchase.

Zur Befestigung haben ich noch Unterlegter aus Gummi verwendet, da der Durchmesser der Federgabel nicht ganz mit dem der Schellen übereinstimmte. Die Schrauben sind kurz genug, dass sie nicht weit Richtung Laufrad überstehen und somit nicht stören. Alles hält bombensicher, also ein perfektes Zubehör für das obige Schutzblech.
