Cute for fall
It’s a little messy to make these, but if you have a level surface in the freezer, these work great

Pumpkin Shaped Ice Cubes!
These are sturdy ice cube molds. My mother likes to drink soda with ice. In Florida, the ice melts quickly. The larger ice cubes are the answer. It is trial and error with the molds. I washed the mold thoroughly with hot water and soap (do not use a scratchy sponge). I rinsed thoroughly. I then put the top on the mold. Make sure the top is on securely (the little tabs pushed down). I turn the water on low (you cannot have the water on fast or it will not go in the funnel) and fill each cavity all the way (you may need to go back and fill the first one again). You can put it on a tray if you have room in your freezer (or small plate). It takes six to eight hours to freeze completely. There will be ice on the lid (I remove the top over the sink to save cleanup). You get each pumpkin shaped ice cube out by pushing on the bottom (you can push from the bottom and pull from the top or pull down the mold while removing the ice cube). Sometimes the ice cubes will come out with ice attached from the middle (it easily knocks off). I pty and fill the molds twice a day. The molds are holding up fine. The ice cubes last a long time (even in the heat). They do a great job at keeping drinks cold.

More gourd than pumpkin, but still nice
This ice mold makes four pumpkin ice cubes at a time. The pumpkins aren't very tall, so they look more like gourds. This isn't a big deal, if they're floating in a beverage at Halloween your guests will think pumpkin. Actually having them somewhat flatter than a pumpkin is a feature, not a bug. If they were more spherical they wouldn't float with the bottom side up. They might float sideways, which would make them more difficult to recognize as pumpkins. There was some "flash" between the individual molds when I opened them, but that wasn't a problem and didn't detract from their utility as ice cubes. Since I started reviewing ice molds I've mellowed a bit. I used to consider perfection as the only acceptable outcome; anything less got downgraded. But I've come to realize that this is just ice after all. We're not making crystal here. The molds were a little bit difficult to fill. The fill hole is too small for a funnel, and filling directly from the faucet causes the hole to block due to surface tension. A small container with a projecting lip would work well. Again, no big deal. There is a hole in the side of the upper mold cavities to indicate the fill line.I subtracted one star because the title in the listing states that the spheres are 2.5" in diameter. When I got the mold it looked smaller than that. Moving down to the "about this item" tab it states that the pumpkins are 2.16" around. The mold is 2.5" tall, so apparently somebody got their numbers mixed up. The third picture in the listing does show the actual dimensions. The listing should be clearer.
