Good price and a nice build that was fun

Just get it. A review isn't going to stop you. It's huge though. Here it is compared to another xwing.

Its a fun build but frustrating as it's fragile

2nd LEGO set ever for me, I’m 33 years old. I buy these not to play with, but display. Yes, this isn’t the sturdiest of sets, but it looks amazing. I brought it out to my 70 year old parents to look at and they were amazed, which is cool since they loved Star Wars growing up. It’s challenging during some parts, but it was fun and rewarding. Once it’s fully displayed on the stand, it’s massive and majestic. There’s a reason it’s an 18+ set, 18+ year olds aren’t meant to play with toys. Also, my wings don’t sag, I don’t have issues with side panels staying put, and I love it on display. Looks great next to my ornithopter!

The printed instructions are a victim of copy/paste. After page 270, it goes back to 239. Would seem the pieces are missing, it is because the pasted is the wrong wing. However, the digital version is correct and I was able to finish the model. Also, in Bag five there are four pieces missing, but I have enough "left over" pieces from other models I was able to substitute. If this is your first Lego Star Wars model, you will need to order the four replacements, it is easy and free on lego.build/missing website.

Dear all,I want to share a frustrating experience with you.As a fan of the Star Wars Saga, I passed on my enthusiasm to my son. We both love LEGO and have built several ships from the series, including a Tie Fighter and the Millennium Falcon.In February 2024, we excitedly purchased an X-Wing, which quickly became our favorite ship.However, after a few months, I noticed my son struggled to put the set together, despite successfully building other ships. It turns out that several pieces were missing from one of the bags—specifically, package 4 was nearly empty.We attempted to reach out to LEGO and even visited a store in New York, but were advised to order the missing pieces. This process became quite a hassle because we had to identify and catalog each piece individually.The most frustrating part is that we can't even be sure if the other packages are missing pieces since we can't continue the assembly without what we need.This is disappointing for such a significant and costly toy, especially considering it's meant for a child.As time has passed, exchanging the set has become unfeasible, and I also don't want a refund. All we want is to complete the X-Wing. Instead, I'm left with an unfinished model (see photo), financial loss, and frustration.I'm unsure how to find help in this situation.Best regards,Jorge Marcelo Martins da Silva

At 37 years old I finally bought my first Lego set. Don't tell anyone but I was a K'nex kid =pI completed the build across four evenings and stayed up way too late on each of them because I was absolutely hooked.Great fun to build, impressive when completed, and yes as others have pointed out a little on the delicate side.I couldn't be happier that the iconic X-Wing now has a permanent home on a shelf in my bedroom.I would think that this is a perfect gift for any adult Star Wars fan that enjoys building stuff as well.
