Since I had a few hats that I wear outside that don't provide UPF 50+ protection, I thought that developing and manufacturing a light colored skull cap with this protection would be a perfect product to bring to the market. Before developing the idea further I decided to check Amazon to see if anyone else was already providing this product. And guess what? Tough Headwear was already selling this product. Darn! On the other hand it only took me a few days to get one in my hands. I usually wear it under a UPF 50+ had but have also worn it under non protective headgear. I've had one large melanoma already and prefer to avoid getting any more. This cooling skull cap/helmet liner is cool in the white color, light in weight, and is reasonably priced. It is sewn together well but takes a little getting used to as it tends to slide around a bit. However The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends this cooling cap as an effective UV protectant. And I don't have to develop it myself.

Use when riding bicycle. This meets all expectations - good in summer to protect my head from sun under bike helmet and keeps sweat from running into eyes. Also use in our mild winters and provides some warmth without overheating me

It fits very well to my head and has kept the sweat from running down my face and neck it’s soft material not thick. Although it’s honestly better to wear it under a breathable cap as it does look funny on ur head. But if by myself I do wear it and it feels cooler on the head without a cap on
