These are very light weight and not so small they are unmanageable. I've used one several times for opening boxes and so far, so good.

This little blade is super handy to open and break down boxes. I always have my keys with me at work so it’s great not having to walk around with a bulky box cutter or scissors in my pocket. The blade is sharp and extends out about a half inch from the plastic housing, however, it is thin and only about 3/8” wide. I don’t know how stable it would be to cut through cardboard, but it is ideal to cut through tape and plastic strapping. Since the blade requires pressure to release from the housing and to remain extended I’m hoping *fingers crossed* there will be no accidental blade deployment issues. 😬
