Weighted blankets aren't new anymore and there are enough positive reviews to attest to the fact that they work - but what happened the first night already (!) exceeded all expectations:It normally takes me a bit to fall asleep. Unless in a case of sleep deprivation (and honestly, even then not really) it very rarely happens that I fall asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow. But what do you know, the moment I pulled the blanket over me it was lights out and the next thing I know is waking up very rested and refreshed from what clearly has been one of the best sleeping I've had recently. And when it repeated the second and third night, it was clear that it isn't a fluke.As for the weight: weighing 92kg I opted for the 9kg blanket. Just unpacking it I already got worried - it was only when I was holding it that I realized how much 9kg actually is in reality - and already saw myself being squashed under that piece of iron in fabric. But when you actually use the blanket and the weight is distributed over the body, it is not really noticable, and definitely not suffocating or something of the sort.About the bamboo fibers: well, I can't say it's the coolest blanket I've ever experienced. Then again, for something that weighs this much and have multiple layers, it could have been so much warmer had it not been for the bamboo (and I sweat already with 20 degrees outside). The manufacturer also advises that, so no surprises there.All in all, this is an excellent product of high quality and feels premium. There are cheaper ones, but in retrospect I'm happy I chose this one. And if you're still on the fence about purchasing a weighted blanket - stop hesitating and order one. Throughout the years I have switched mattresses, toppers, pillows, sheets - a never ending upgrade of the bed. Yet, nothing has upgraded my sleep like this miracle.And I'm not one who writes reviews often, let alone 5 stars ones.

Seemed like a lot of money for a blanket, but I hate hot disturbed sleep in summer heatwaves and had seen loads of Facebook adverts for bamboo weighted blankets - featuring Australians - that helped people sleep when it was hot. Not wanting to be taken in by such things, I did a bunch of research and this one consistently scored highly in reviews. Arrived a week after purchase (they just have shipped a bunch over from china ready!) and so far have had two glorious obscenely long sleeps at the tail end of this heatwave in the uk. The blanket stays cool when not in contact with your body, so move an arm or a leg and blessed coolness is there waiting. The wait keeps my twitchy feet still and whereas I usually turn over in my sleep about a dozen times, with this on, its maybe twice? I don’t really know because I’m sleeping so deeply. Didn’t sleep under it for the first two nights because my 10 year old daughter stole it. She had a nightmare one morning and was scared to go to bed the next night. Put the blanket on her and it was like an off switch. She slept 12 hours and reported not remembering a single dream. Same on night two. I’ve come back on here to order her one too. HIGHLY recommended.

I purchased this product after much careful research on what's out there in the marketplace. I needed it to calm anxiety especially at night, which is when I felt it most. I've had the blanket for 2 days now and it's really helpful. The fabric of this particular blanket is bamboo and it is so soft and comforting to the touch. The weight of the blanket (6.8kg's for my body weight) means that it hugs the body, bringing a sense of being held. This sends messages to the nervous system that things are safe, I'm ok, I'm secure!The only thing that I'd mention about this product is that the label on the blanket contains language inaccuracies and it doesn't say that the fabric is bamboo. I appreciate that it's made in China however I do feel that the sellers of this item need to be really clear in their instructions about the label - this can send an important message to us customers regarding quality and most importantly integrity of the product and company selling it.Otherwise, a great product. I am REALLY pleased I purchased it, even at the high price.

I like the material and the weight is spread evenly, it is slightly short though, so if I am fully extended it doesn't cover me properly and is slightly loose in the duvet cover, I am 5'6. I might go heavier next time, for extra security

I bought an Emma mattress a few months ago and even in winter I woke up too hot. I need to feel weight on my shoulders as I sleep and regular duvets just caused me to overheat.I tried an expensive cooling wool mattress topper but as lovely as it was it never cooled me down. I still had the same problem.I saw this was made from bamboo fabric so gave it a go and it has made the world of difference. So comfortable and warm but also so cooling and breathable. I love it.

When it comes to falling asleep, there is no magic bullet (except sleeping pills but those are a poor replacement for the real thing). But this is got really close for me. Of course I can't be sure how much impact the placebo effect had, but after getting this blanket I have been falling asleep much, much faster and only once did I have a sleepless night.Highly recommend giving it a try if you have the money!

Good quality. Soft and although cooling the blanket is still too warm for hot summer days so you would need an aircon or fan to use it. Easy to fold and store. Heavy enough to feel the effects. Good distribution of the weight. I love it.

Nice and cool, but heavier than expected. I went for the lightest one, but still couldn't get used to it. Would have been much better if the size was longer and narrower, to fit one person on one side of a king-size bed.

Make sure your washer can wash such a heavy blanket. It’s not so heavy at all, once you get used to it you’ll feel like it’s not so heavy. Don’t buy an expensive one, this one is perfect. I would normally need a heavier one but wanted this lighter one and it does the job! Good sleep!

Ist äusserlichen okay, aber bei mir hilf es nichts. Ich war 2mal in der Nacht schon wach, wie früher. Bezog mitten in der Nacht meine alte Decke, und die schicke ich zurück. Zum anderen ist die Decke sehr schwer.

Veramente fantastico dormire con una coperta ponderata!L'unica problematica sono le perline di vetro che dopo poco tempo tendono ad ammassarsi ai bordi della coperta, rendendo necessarie tediose operazioni di scuotitura e di ridistribuzione per fare in modo che siano sparse in modo equo su tutta la superficie.Si sarebbe potuto evitare semplicemente dividendo internamente la coperta in molti micro-comparti contenenti le perline.
