Worked as it should and must have to properly tighten the crank bolt on a GM 1.4T
item arived in good condition. Has the yellow zinc coating to help avoid corrosion. The tool has some adjustability, it fit and worked as it should. Still a bit of a pain to use but that is not the tool's fault, that is the GM design. The original Kent Moore version is nearly 6 times as much, making this tool a super bargain. Worked as it should and must have to properly tighten the crank bolt on a GM 1.4T

Very nice and heavy duty tool for the price.
I really like this tool! It makes working on crank pully bolts SO much easier. It's application specific but I can see it being very versatile, as the pins are long and strong enough to potentially fit a variety of applications. I like how adjustable it is. The range of motion should be able to allow fitment to many different sized pullies. The steel seems to be of high quality, and the hardware is top notch. Installation of the tool on MY application was a cinch, just adjust the lever to the correct diameter and stick the pins in. Install a breaker bar in the square drive hole and it makes holding the crank and removing the bolt extremely easy. I cannot find anything I dislike about this. It seems to be a very solid and well made tool, and I expect it will last a long time. So far, my experience with it is a good one. For the money, I think it is an excellent value.

This tool made holding the crankshaft pulley during repairs a breeze
It fit perfectly on both my Chevy Cruze and Cadillac ELR without any modifications. The build feels sturdy and durable, providing excellent grip and stability. Using it saved me time and frustration, making pulley removal and installation much smoother. A must-have for anyone working on these engines.

Works great
Very functional tool and works great. Very durable and it easily breaks down the tie rod with no issues and little to effort. Great buy for the price.

Worked well to hold harmonic dampener on Chevy Cruze 1.4
Needed to replace the front crank seal on a 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4L turbo. It's generally a pretty easy job, and inexpensive as far as parts are concerned. The only problem is that you need a specialized and expensive tool to hold the harmonic dampener while you torque the bolt during reassembly. Frustrating as the tool you'll probably use once ever for about 10 minutes costs over $300 if you buy it from GM. So I was putting off this repair. Found this much less expensive option and decided to give it a try. Always a concern when buying low cost tools is the quality. Doesn't do any good to save money if the tool won't work. Fortunately in this case I was very happy with the quality. Very heavy and thick steel and no flex at all while holding the harmonic balancer during the torquing process. Fits the slots in the balancer as it should and no problems using. If it's not obvious, this tool is used to grip into the balancer and you attach a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar to give you leverage to prevent the balancer and crankshaft from rotating as you tighten the bolt. Be sure to use a new bolt as these are torque-to-yield bolts that are designed to stretch at the proper torque and are not meant to be reused. Overall the tool met my needs and was more heavy-duty than I expected. For limited DIY-er usedI think it's perfectly suited.

2 out of three holes for your ratchet or bar are undersized and can't be used.
Tested the fit on a Chevy Cruze that was in the shop and it was perfect. Nice that there's adjustability so you can make it. Really good hardware was used, the plating looks good, and the metal is thick 19mm in the thickest parts and half that on the rest. My beef with this tool is the 1/2 inch drive (ish) holes for use with a ratchet or breaker bar. The one on the "handle" of the tool is nearly perfect 13mm but the others are undersized. At first I thought maybe they assembled the pins on the wrong side so I checked both sides but they were broached too small or maybe not at all. I'm guessing you could file the holes bigger if you needed to. It's disappointing finding out that two thirds of the versatility isn't actually available. For something so simple you'd think QC would be easy to maintain. So is say it's worth a third of the price being that you have a third of the advertised use of the tool. Not worth the money if you can't use the whole thing.
