good volleyball shoes
I had a bad experience with ASICS volleyball shoes in high school- we put in a bulk order as a team, and mine were way too small even though I ordered my regular size. I had to wear them, though, so I had too-tight shoes for an entire season (that were kind of expensive!).However- as an adult, I've gotten back into playing recreational volleyball. I had been using my running shoes, but after a high ankle sprain last season (not at volleyball, but affecting it), I finally conceded that I should get some actual shoes to prevent any further ankle injury. I got these in half a size larger and they fit perfectly. I've worn them in 4 matches so far and they help me move faster without fear of side to side movement and accidentally rolling my ankle. I approve and they've gone a long ways towards reversing my opinion of ASICS after my bad high school experience :).

Adequate
I have had several ASICS volleyball shoes. It seems like they are getting smaller and smaller. I ordered 1/2 size up - thank goodness! I read reviews and took the suggestion. The heel support feels really good. The width is slightly on the small side for an M.Since I'm working volleyball shoes pretty hard (I play at least five days a week and coach 2 days a week), I will not buy on-line anymore unless I have tried them on in a store and have the exact model number. The color is exactly as it appears.

Love the look but hurts my feet
It's a great looking shoe and I've had lots of compliments. I'm wearing it on the court and it's been performing ok. Good traction. I like the shoe but I've been getting a blister on my right toe from it. I keep blaming my socks but my last ascics didn't give me the same problem (I haven't changed socks). It's been 3 months now. These shoes hurt my feet especially my big toes. I play recreational volleyball in the gym, sometimes for 3 hours straight. (if I wear them for working out, they're fine.) I feel like I have to buy an insert that has more cushion to put in the shoe for comfort. I'm going to look for another volleyball shoe with better cushion.

These shoes are great! At the recommendation of a friend
These shoes are great! At the recommendation of a friend, I purchased these because I have a hard time finding women's shoes that fit the top part of my feet & toes because they are a little wider than normal but not wide enough to really purchase 'wide" shoes. These are comfortable, light and do not cramp my toes at all. I can wear them all day at work which is just a cement slab with tile on top. They are surely on the buy again list!!!

From the box, to the Relay
First of all, I love this color w/ the camo sole!! The color for Pancreatic cancer awareness is purple, and so is my favorite color--both which are special to me. My feet are picky with shoes; many shoes are too narrow from top to bottom and creates ingrown toenail pain. This shoe gives me plenty of room and the comfort level is great. I literally put them on out of the box and went to the Relay-4-Life event and walked for a few hours in a brand new pair of shoes! No soreness or blisters at all!!! They are pretty true to size.

Enough cushion but...
These shoes provide plenty to cushion for kickboxing jumps, etc. However, there is a point on the shoe that hurts my left foot near the baby toe (where the toe and foot meet, essentially) when doing lateral moves that make it very painful to do any sort of lateral movement. These shoes also seem to be a bit big on my right foot through the heel when doing forward kicks I especially notice them moving on my foot. I'm sure these are great shoes just not for me.

She said they're really comfortable; she's wearing them today for both P
These run about 1/2 size small; bought two pair 6.5 and 7 for my daughter and the 7 fit. All her other shoes are 6.5. She said they're really comfortable; she's wearing them today for both P.E. and then Volleyball practice so we should find out soon how they worked out on the court. She said they are great both on an off court; the grip is perfect; she said she feels like she's jumping on pillows.

Durable shoe
I'm someone who would always use mizuno brand shoes so switching to these Asic brand made me a little hesitant. I'm a woman that plays on a mens team, and during the season i noticed that because of the level of play, my mizunos were starting to take a major beating. I was recommended these shoes from a friend, stating that these shoes are much "sturdier". I bought them and noticed that they indeed were a little heavier than my normal mizuno lightnings, and has a slight more heel. the sole seemed a bit higher than what I've used, and they seemed a little wide. But wear thicker socks and added some insoles to fix that. All i have to say is that i absolutely LOVE THEM! they've lasted me two seasons now and we play from fall to summer. The toe is holding up well and not ripping so i am impressed. If you are looking for a sturdy new volleyball shoe, this is it.
