A GREAT Security Camera for Way Less than $100.00 !
The only way to get a better productVirtually every security camera on the market (including NEST) is made in China. This is a moderately priced camera that REALLY DELIVERS ! It gives you a true 1080P picture and is within $10.00 of cameras that deliver far less. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the complete lack of adequate set up instructions. The company should be ashamed for giving very sketchy 'generic' steps to install. I am a retired Systems Coordinator. That is to say my job was to make sure our in-house computer system meshed perfectly with the system of a world wide corporate system. This camera took me over an hour to get network connections. I finally gave up trying to use the CamHi app and used Internet Explorer to do the job. I got the LAN IP issued to the camera by my router and then used it as a URL in IE.Once I had a WiFi IP, it was smooth sailing all the way. In spite of comments from other reviewers to the contrary, I find that CamHi is an excellent app for day to day access to the camera. Others, including one endorsed by the 4sdot Company, stink in comparison. I should take off another star for the difficult job of installing an SD Micro card. One almost needs the skill of a surgeon to do it without damaging the guts of the camera. I cannot, however, do this because this camera truly deserves a 5 star rating if not for the set up difficulties.ps to 4sdot: You should enclose more detailed product specific instructions with your cameras. Also the instructions should be written by someone who truly comprehends the rules of the English language and their usage - not someone who normally speaks Chinese and attempts to translate it.

Good Day Picture but Beware of Many Other Flaws
This is a camera with a good day picture, but not quite as wide of an angle as I'd have liked. This camera's biggest strength is the ease of setup and day time picture quality but it is downhill from their. If you want to add a memory card for this to record, expect to disassemble the thing starting by twisting the front cap off and then unscrewing the electronics (2 tiny screws) on the inside that fasten the circuit board to the shell. Then you have to lift it out gently (stretching the internal wiring) and locate the micro SD slot that is UNDER the circuit board and near a tiny wire and put it in from their; then re attach everything. A very delicate job and the internal wires do not appear to be attached very well to the circuit board. This is a very poor design and one that many people may find frustrating. There are several thick wires leading off the back end of the camera, which make it rather clunky during the physical install. One is for the power cord, one is for the network cable and not sure what the 3rd wire is for, but it is a poor design. I really want to give this camera more stars but I can't, because it is not designed well overall and most people, including myself, do not want to do a disassembly on something to use the recording ability.Testing the image at night: My driveway is about 50 feet long from the front door to the street. I live in a rural area where there are no street lights. I also have no neighbors to either side or across the street. The camera is mounted at the front door facing the street and covering the driveway. Without any patio light on, the camera does not get any image beyond about 20 feet, or just slightly less than half way down my driveway. For me, this is not acceptable and my driveway at the street is higher than the elevation at my front door, making the driveway have a slight incline up, which the camera should be able to see. Overall, not happy with this camera and it does not suit my needs due to the reasons mentioned above.

Good camera for its price if you don't plan to install many of them
I have purchased the camera with the main purpose - to oversee my house when we're out on vacation. As a new guy in this field, I wanted to get something quite simple and inexpensive first, yet powerful enough to allow remote access, motion detection and high-res quality. This camera looks nice and solid, provides with wired and wireless options, and 1080p photos are equally good both in day- and in nighttime.Customer service is also perfect - my first order came with loose wifi antenna mount, and when I tried to tight it, the wire inside just fell off. They've sent me the replacement almost immediately after the ticket had been opened. As other reviewers have also mentioned, microSD slot is hidden too deep inside so you have to disassemble at least one third of the camera. But it is the price for weather-proof quality, and you only need to do it once anyways - all the recorded data can be downloaded over the network later. After 3 months of using it, I now look forward to buy and install more cameras on my house, and now it's time for the big con of this item: no central storage and/or cloud setup. When you have 3-5 cameras individually storing recordings to their local SD cards with no ability to watch all at once from the central place (phone app doesn't count), you start looking for more professional kits that have it and more. However, it comes with higher price tag too.
