It should be easy to hose it down as it has holes for drainage. No shedding so far - it does get warm in the sun (northeast summers so can’t say about places like AZ ..the turf might get hot. Lays flat mostly and the corners settle within a few hours It does feel a bit plastickey and has some shine to it.
