Evaporative Cooling Neck Wrap, Water Drops, 1 Pack

Out of the box its very deceiving. It APPEARS that there aren't enough beads in the product. If you follow the directions, the beads start to swell up, you adjust them and let them continue to soak up the water. I ended up with a perfectly round squishy , neck wrap that's wet It feels awesome around the neck. It is a COOLING neck wrap, not a product that will go down to 69 degrees. Once it doesn't feel cool I just rotate it and it feels cool again. After about 90 minutes I open a bottle of water and resoak it so it feels cooler. I could probably go two hours before I feel the need to resoak it. I was out in 90-100 degree temps on a parking lot for 8 hours. It worked for me.

It works well to help. Keep you cool out while you’re working out in the desert.

The only thing, and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is there’s nothing to keep the beads evenly distributed throughout the band. I’m going to add some stitches to create pockets and keep some of the beads at the back of my neck. That may be something the brand can do to improve the design. Put an equal amount of beads in like four pockets. Otherwise I think it’ll work for what I need it for, my body can’t regulate its temperature so I get too hot just doing normal activity inside the home so wearing it while cooking will help. It already helped me drive an hour on 105 degree heat with a poorly AC. I like that’s it cloth so it doesn’t get too cold on the skin and/or cause ice burns. I like that you just have to soak it and not wait for it to freeze. That’ll be helpful for lake and river day or beach days. I might even try to sleep with it and see if it helps cool me down at night.

Not that great. Not sure if it helped at all. After the first use, when resoak it seems to only fill up about a third of the width. It does seem to drip. I really wanted something like this, since I am constantly wiping off sweat and trying to cool down, but could not tell if helped. Doesn't look bad on the neck and I wore it while traveling in Italy on beaches and city walking, still felt hot and sweaty.

The basic idea of a water-activated, reusable cooling method is a good one. Follow the directions and you will indeed get some cooling relief for a time. Unfortunately, the small neck wrap warms up quickly from body heat and and the cooling effect from the beads inside is quickly dissipated. Not useful beyond about 45 minutes in hot summer weather. In addition, this neck wrap gets VERY sweaty (and possibly dirt-covered) when wearing it to garden, mow, do other yardwork, sports, etc. You really need to be able to handwash such a thing; who wants a sweaty/crusty neckerchief? The only problem is that the neck wrap this takes DAYS if not WEEKS to dry out after being handwashed washed and hung up. You don't really want to store it away when wet, so the only recourse is to leave these damp, floppy tubes hanging over a towel rod or over a doorknob (or on a drying rack in front of a fan) until they are dry enough to put away. (Rather unsightly.) I think your best bet-- rather than purchasing this item-- is a cooling ice-pack style neck wrap that you can hand wash-- one that dries quickly and can be kept in the fridge or freezer between uses. This is the solution I eventually went for; it lasts longer and is far more effective and practical.

I wear this fro working in a warehouse with limited ac, this helps to keep my neck cool. Appreciate the button feature rather than a tie, still on neck without moving around/falling off.

I work out in the elements and it can get hot out there. I just can't handle the heat like I used to anymore so, this neck Kool Gator makes a huge difference in waking up moisture away from my neck where I always hot and helping me to feel a little more comfortable in this hot weather. I like how portable it is You know you can take this thing with you anywhere you go and if you carry a thermos or water bottle with ice water in it, you can dunk this in it and it will help who you off even quicker.

There were so few of the water absorbing beads that it didn’t fully fill out the neck wrap after soaking in water. Also, clothes get soaked when wearing the wrap. This is not effective as a cooling wrap for running in hot weather.

These help prevent overheating while exercising outdoors in hot temperatures. Ideal for cycling and hiking, work outdoors. They retain coolness for quite a long time, and once activated (submerge in cool water, cool in the fridge 3 minutes or so), they are easy to refresh with cool water on the trails (I pack ice water and have a lightweight collapsible-bowl handy). if you work construction, can swap out from you’re cooler. Although Camo often carries a masculine vibe, for us “earth goddesses”, it pairs nicely with neutrals and earth-blending clothing tones— hiker-friendly. Keeping the neck cool also has some excellent stress-reducing benefits, e.g. preparing for exams, coping with adrenaline surges, lunch-time workout, etc.

Keeps overall temperature cool - used it in 45degrees heat - really helped make that small difference from unbearable heat to bearable heat outdoors

Works awesome! I actually use it for my dog on hot summer days and it really helps cool her down.
