I ordered this because I have a torn nail that I needed to be able to keep filed down and even, so that I don't catch it on anything and cause further damage. My nails tend to be soft, and easily damaged, so using a nail file which treats them gently is a must for me. I'd had a glass file before, but it had disappeared. This appeared to be the best file Amazon had available which would fit my needs; and it does a very nice job of filing them without any sense of undue vibration or catching. The nail file is pretty but that's the only positive thing about it. It's too thick to file the sides of your nails. And the base of the file is just a piece of paper glued on. When you put the file in its plastic case, be very careful that you don't drop it. No protection inside the case at all. It just rattles. The file does work if you want to have nails that are perfectly horizontal to your fingertips. I'm very disappointed and will go back to my drugstore file.

I don't normally care to write reviews but I really felt like I had to write something for this one. I file my names like a religion and constantly get awful stares from people who hate the sound (never bothered me honestly). I saw this on a buzzfeed list or something like that on Facebook one day and I just knew I had to try it. Sure it took a little getting used to because it does file so much faster than I was used to with the other 3 dollar filers but this is night and day. My nails look healthy white (I keep mine natural), I just rinse it off and it looks brand new and there is literally no sound when I file. Also the case is something made of titanium because I have a puppy who keeps finding it and keeps biting into it but there just seem to be bite marks with my file intact inside. I can't get over how much I love this nail filer and I tell everyone about it. Don't hesitate and buy 30 so you never have to use a crappy nail filer ever again.

I have purchased this maker of glass files for myself and for gifts. Prior to finding this maker I had purchased some inferior glass files or glass files that were only one sided. However, these files are beautiful, come in a sturdy case and truly do a great job on filing my nails. This is where I will always go for glass nail files in the future.

This is my second purchase of this glass nail file. This files my nails beautifully and evenly. I bought this because my nails were weak due to wearing UV gel nails for several years. This file was gentle on my weak nails but strong enough to file evenly without breaking or splitting my nails in the process. I love the case it comes with as well - which is convenient for travel. The only downside is if it falls on tile floor, it will break obviously. However, I still recommend it because it does a great job of filing nails and will last years! Recommend!

Don't wait any longer! If you're on the fence about getting this file, just do it! After years of trying different supplements and treatments to get my nails strong and to stop splitting this is works. It's been about a month and my nails are strong and are growing fast. The times of needing multiple files are gone. This file is magic for my nails!
