Difficult to find on the high street
If you have large gaps between your gums and teeth, this is the floss you need. Thin tape, or sharp waxed cotton, does not come close to the effectiveness of Corsodyl. Forget the expanding claim, its just thick floss, that does not fragment and does the job of flossing so much better than all the rest.

Well waxed and easy to use.
Until I bought this, I had been using various 'own brand' dental flosses and tapes from High Street retailers.Tape doesn't work for me as I find it damages my gums and the floss I had been using would expand and then rip to shreds, leaving me worried about inadvertently hauling out my fillings!Fortunately, this expanding floss seems to be considerably harder wearing than the own-brand stuff I had been using. It's better waxed than others I have used, which means that it slides between my molars more easily and when it expands, it tends not to shred as readily. It does get slightly slippy when damp though (probably all that wax on it!) so you do need to wind it around your fingers. There are a lot of mixed reviews for expanding flosses and tapes and my theory is that the performance of the product very much depends upon your own dental anatomy e.g. width of gaps between your teeth and also if you have fillings. I suspect that if (like me) you have fillings, the rough surface of these on the sides of your molars could very well shred the floss more easily.I don't think any dental floss will work perfectly for everybody but I'm happy with this particular one and would definitely buy it again.

A bathroom staple.
I always have a roll of this knocking about in the bathroom for after brushing my teeth. Its great for removing stubborn bits of food. I found this easy to use and the width was big enough to remove food from tight gaps but not too thick that I struggled to slip them between teeth. Nice fresh flavour - a pleasure to use.

Old packaging but same product at good price!
This was old red packaging - I thought I'd been sent the wrong item - bt it's just the same - Could be noted in the description somewhere perhaps? That would be helpful!

Dental advice
Recommended this by my dentist as I tend to get bleeding gums when flossing. Been using for about 2-3 weeks, can't say that I can see much difference from a cheaper version. Perhaps more time using this product will prove me wrong, hopefully.

Good, but not as easy as Oral B's Ultra Floss
I have trouble using floss as all my teeth are very tightly packed.I had hoped that this would be like Oral B's Ultra Floss, which is a string like foam about 2mm in diameter, and slips down the tiniest gaps between teeth. However I have to work at the expanding floss to get the string into the foam like texture, which involves a bit of force to get it between the first few teeth. Then its OK.I like the fact that it has fluoride in it, and I love the packaging; much prettier, smaller, and streamlined than the Ultra-floss, and with the Ultra-floss disappearing off the retail shelves, I was hoping I could make the switch, but perhaps not quite. At any rate I have popped it in my handbag for use when I am out and about. Much better than the dental tape I had there before :)

Probably the best floss you will ever buy
Probably the best floss you will ever buy. Beware the "tape" alternative, which is frankly pretty useless. I made that mistake once and bulk bought, thinking I was getting a bargain! But would thoroughly recommend the expunging floss.
