For me, this mat is ideal: folds up and is easily stored, but is plenty large enough for practicing swings. So far feels nice and durable, and the included tees make it easy to practice swing with the driver, too. Seems like a very reasonable value, if not actually cheap.

Nice mat, perfect for practice in my back yard so I'm not tearing up the grass. Good weight to it, doesn't move much when you hit a ball. Conveniently foldable for transport/storage.

I saw some reviews that said this wasn't sturdy. Well it certainly seems sturdy to me. I've taken probably 100 shots on it, and it's showing no visible wear. If you get under the ball it will leave green scuffs on your clubs, but those rub right off. It's just big enough to do the job, and when you're done with it you can fold it up and put it away. Works well on grass and on paved surfaces. You can shoot off the tee, rough, or fairway green - pretty much everything you need to practice your swing in the backyard. UPDATE - about 1,500 shots later, it is showing definite signs of wear. The big issue is that because I'm a beginner I hit a lot of balls fat - because of the small size of the mat, that results in me occasionally clipping the lip of the mat, sending it flying. I've done that a dozen or so times and I can see the lip is already starting to crack and peel. The grass part is still holding up pretty well so if you're not worried about badly mis-hitting then this won't be an issue for you, but I reckon this only has another dozen or so bad misses left in it before it completely falls apart.

I bought this to be able to swing my clubs at a pseudo ball in my small backyard. It works well for that. I am able to practice my swing without fear of damaging my surroundings with real golf balls.
