UPDATE: I was contacted by a MEEDEEN SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE and offered an incredible compensatory deal for all the trouble over the issues with this particular item. MEEDEN seems to really care about the satisfaction of their customers and will try to resolve any issues related to their products. While the CRANK MODEL EASEL I ordered had technical issues I would recommend their STANDARD NON-CRANK EASELS anytime. The easels are light but well made and sturdy. The following is my past review of the CRANK EASEL MODEL: I ordered this easel with a crank option because of my limited mobility. It looks great. The 1st easel didn’t crank. It was defective.I contacted Amazon and it was replaced. The SECOND REPLACEMENT arrived and it was also DEFECTIVE as the easel center beam has a long crack running down the wood. I also sent a email to MEEDEN about these issues. Meeden agreed that the 1ST easel was defective and I haven’t heard about the cracked wood of the SECOND REPLACEMENT. Amazon would not replace the 2nd defective easel. They literally cut me off in customer chat stating I could ask for a refund and reorder and the the matter was concluded. So, here I am with out an easel-again. The reason I ordered this was that my old one broke and was really looking forward to using it. The original purchase was prompted by a AMAZON.CHASE INCENTIVE. AMAZON doesn’t want to discuss that incentive either although CHASE told me that I had to contact AMAZON. It has been 3 weeks of hassle. I reordered a different brand. Let’s see how that goes.

I was pleasantly surprised. Decent quality, instructions were quite clear and easy. Tools to assemble were included. Definitely a good purchase!
