Without Love, Unity can never be realized, because Love is Oneness with all. "Two Workers"
The book, "Becoming What You Are", is both profound and easy to understand. It touches your Heart & inspires you, indeed, to want to become your higher self. Plato told us via his Stages of Love, that our highest potential lies in Love he called, Agape, loosely defined as Love for the Being of others. The denouement is the experience of that realization in your own Heart, via the procession of spiritual initiations, where you finally KNOW this to be true. That is the promised outcome for all of us, once we complete the journey."Becoming Who You Are" outlines clearly the major facets of this journey & provides the central concepts to aid our steps on the way. It will remain a cherished book of spiritual guidance and clarification for the duration of my present life.

Nice piece with an esoteric touch
Like many types of writing that are spiritual in their content, this book has sections that feel esoteric. Still others felt exactly tailored for me at the time of reading them. Thanks to the writer(s) for this book. I appreciated reading it.

Doesn't match the needs of present-day seekers.
The individuals who wrote this outdated book also wrote The Seven Laws of Spiritual Purity, which was indeed a book of truth, because it addresses the problem of animal passion/lust, as well as the practice of de-egotizing/un-selfing oneself. These are real hurdles for spiritual aspirants. This book, however, doesn't mention passion even once, and instead of unselfing, it recommends replacing bad thoughts with good ones. It is not about awakening the consciousness. This book says, Turn your consciousness to us, raise it to us, direct it to reducing cruelty, and so on. This book bears a striking resemblance to the Agni Yoga series, a collection of teachings that Beinsa Douno criticized as ill-fitted for the modern-day seekers. The title says it all: "Become What You Are." In other words, it's about remaining the same, not striving to become something different like a Divine Being.

I was drawn to it, not sure why.
The title was what really drew me in. I'm not religious, but I read it. The beautiful artwork as well.
