A Multitool For Emergency Preparedness? You Bet! ;o)
Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o)It isn't everyday you go looking for emergency preparedness stuff, right? This wonderful multitool showed up in my Amazon feed, and I simply HAD to get it, as I'm a firm believer in always updating my emergency kits at both the house and our cars. I love this tool so much I will be getting another two, yep, TWO of them(!), but that's getting ahead of myself! ;o)What makes this all-steel, affordable multitool so good? Let me count the ways:This Multitool feels SO solid, no joke! This device has a bit of heft in my hands. At 1.15 pounds (with the case) it feels like it's made quite well. That's great for twisting, pulling, breaking, cutting and what have you. Each of the 14 tools provided within its compact space does what it is designed to do, as we (my hubby and I, natch!) tested all of the working parts. We found that each tool locks in place-- great for my peace of mind, not to say, safety.Details you'd love to know, as there's no instruction manual provided:The screwdriver bits are removed by pushing down on the ends of the bits, from the top of the holder-- after it is pulled out from the handle. Once you retrieve the bit you want to use, twist/rotate that bit to lock in place in the hexagon hole at the top of the hammer section. Viola! The multitool handle becomes the screwdriver handle for you to use. The tool is designed in such a way that the screwdriver bits are harder to lose, as the holder snaps into place in the shaft or 'handle' of this set.The pliers (listed as pincers on the listing) handles has to be rotated 270º to be useful. The graduations on the adjustable wrench are in centimeters. Some of the tucked-in blades became multipurpose in themselves, such as the serrated knife blade-- it has the serrated section for cutting branches, for example, with a can opener, hexagonal wrench, and a flathead screwdriver, should you need to take things apart in a hurry. The hammer is solid, great for breaking a car window to rescue a child or dog on a hot day.I love the petite nail puller at the opposite end of the hammer-- that really came in handy for pulling nails on a project. In an emergency, this tool comes in handy to removing nails from blocks of wood. The knife is nice and sharp, and locks open easily. It's great for cutting seatbelts in a car crash if you are the first person there to help victims quickly. Not only that, it's great for quickly cutting fabric to apply a tourniquet to stop bleeding quickly. There's more, but methinks you get the gist of this wonderful, indispensable tool, err tools, I should say!Give this incredible Eaula Videns Multitool 14 In 1 a try... I don't think you'll regret your purchase.***********************************************************Update:An opportunity to save wee bit of moolah!Right now, there's a price reduction (only $19.99!) to make your purchase all the sweeter!**********************************************************Have a wonderful Fall Season! ;o)Cheerio and Best of Luck in all your endeavors! Hopefully, this review was helpful.

Interesting Multi tool
I got this multi tool because a hammer is not a verry common tool in a multi tool and I was interested to see how well it worked.Let's start with the hammer. Although the tool has decent mass the shape of the hammer leaves something to be desired, the head is sort and angles in towards the handle, for me at least my knuckles extend past the face of the hammer making using it effectively difficult. The claw is barley big enough to grab a framing nail but does not taper small enough to effectively grab a finish nail. In contrast the wrench is rather nice, the moving jaw is tightly fitted, and it has a millimeter scale. The screwdriver is a bit wobbly and won't get into tight spaces but does offer decent torque with the hammer head to grip.Moving on to the rest of the tools, they are fold out with spring detents instead of latching locks which is something I prefer in a multitool. Starting with the knife, it is a 2 handed open with a decent 3" blade with a nice factory grind. Moving onto the pliers while they are not as easy to use as the pliers in a dual handle multi tool (like a Leatherman style) they are better than other full-size fold up pilers I have seen in other single handle tools. Lastly the "multi blade", first off, the force it takes to pull open this part is way too high; I find I have to open the pliers just to get a good enough grip to open it. The "multi blade" has a bottle opener a serrated section, a wrench and can opener with a flat head screwdriver tip. The can opener does have an attempt at a cutting edge and could open a can in an emergency, but it is not particularly good. the wrench although a good way to use up space suffers from issues of being in both the middle of the handle and the blade making its access to what few bolts that you might come across that fit it hard to reach. It also comes with a fairly well-made hard fabric beltloop sheath.Overall, this is not as nice to use or easy to carry as I would want in an everyday carry multi tool, to me this is more of a bag/glovebox multi tool for situations where you might have a chance of needing tools but don't have the space to carry full sized tools.
