Great product and a solid company
I have been converting my home from standard TV to 1080P high resolution. The video source is in the garage (Roku), where the satellite and network feeds come in. All TV's (five different locations in the house) get the same video in my situation.Because there are spare Cat5e cables and coax cables in the walls of the house, finding J-Tech's HDMI extender products was a godsend. I have used them for HDMI - over - Cat5e (Cat6 and Cat7 would work too but my house is older than that) and for HDMI - over - Coax. Both work flawlessly. One of my endpoints is a projector that blocked the HDMI's audio (projector's fault), so I tried the J-Tech audio splitter prior to the projector and again, that works flawlessly. Three J-Tech product types, one happy customer, extremely easy setup all around. Here's another thing though: I had a few technical questions. J-Tech's customer support was awesome - they answered all my questions completely, clearly, and in less than a day. Thank you Jewel! My one suggestion to J-Tech is to upgrade their product manual to address questions like mine (specifically: can you swap transmitters or receivers? yes. Can you drive multiple receivers from a single transmitter? no. How should I interpret the status LEDS on the receivers and transmitters? transmitter: red is good; receiver: green is good) And whatever else comes to their minds to make the user's life easier.I think some of J-Tech's devices can work with 4k video, although as an engineer I have always been dubious that 4k is much more than a marketing ploy compared to 1080p; the human eye is not that discerning except under closely and continuously monitored conditions.

Received a used item. Very disapointing!
Package received on time, but the contents were previously used. Very disappointing.Update on Aug 15th: Had it working fine for a couple of weeks, but yesterday the sound stopped working. It's probably too late to return it, but I will try.I would NOT recommend this!

Excellent product, works great!
Excellent product for connecting A/V equipment to a TV that is located further away than can be reached with an HDMI cable. The receive and transmit sensors work flawlessly and allows perfect, reliable control with your remote. Installation is easy and straightforward. I recently installed another extender to a TV located outside under our covered patio. Works great!

Video works great -- sound not so much
Be forewarned that if you plan to use this with coax cables with F-connectors (standard cable TV connectors) you will need to buy BNC to F connector adapters, and some fit better than others. When I connected these units, I learned that you cannot feed this connection through a cable splitter. Also, while the picture quality was flawless, the sound will drop out at random times and then come back. There is no pattern to it. So if you want both picture and sound, this is not the best solution. I had assumed that I had received defective units, and exchange them for a new set, but the problem persisted with the new units. If you want both picture and sound, you may want to find an alternate means of sending the sound to your monitor.

Great HDMI/Ethernet Extender
We bought this Extender to replace a 4-year old wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver which worked well at the start but recently worked only intermittently, with the video feed going out constantly, or the picture turning green! We needed an extender to run the HDMI signal from a home theater receiver across a 17' wide room to a flat screen TV hung above a fireplace (a direct HDMI cable hookup would have required over 50' of cable from the home theater receiver up inside a wall, across an attic, and down to the TV, too long to assure a reliable signal). (We never had problems with the audio feed, since that played directly from the home theater receiver to surround sound speakers, not the TV's internal speakers.) We were advised by a techie (and confirmed with a bit of online research) that an HDMI/Ethernet extender would do the trick and so far, so good - great and consistent video, and no delay at startup as was the case with the wireless hookup. We're very pleased with this purchase (we also bought the J-Tech 150' Ethernet cable shown with the Extender on Amazon, although it was somewhat long for our purposes).

Dish wallie set up
found the solution for the two dish issues everyone has, I haven’t seen anyone else figure it out and I Almost gave up myself after installing two sets and not even tech suport was able to help. First issue you will run into is no picture at all, and the second issue will be no sound. I have fixed both issues and the converters work perfectly, I also run two sets of converters off of a Dish Wally box that has a 3 way splitter, off my 3 way splitter I run one HDMI directly to a TV and the other two run to the converter boxes. This is for my RV. Below is how I made mine all work. NOTE, YOU MUST DO IT IN THAT EXACT ORDER.After all your equipment is installed and plugged in, do the following;1. Make sure the HDMI out from converter goes to the ARCH/HDMI input on TV, do not use any other inputs, just the ARCH/HDMI a Onky.2. Change the settings on the dish Wally box for sound, turn off digital sound.3. Change the Dish Wally box from 1080 to 720.4. ( after all steps above are completed first, you must do this last step) reset all items involved, TV, Dish Wally box , any splitters and the two converters. To reset them you must unplug them all for a minute. Please note you must do 1-3 steps BEFORE the reset, and when you do the reset you must unplug all equipment at the same time. Let it sit unplugged for a minute and then turn it all back on. it should all work then. I used a TV plugged directly into the Wally to view the settings so you can make the changes and then plugged converters back in before the reset. You can all thank me later. I almost returned my converters and just went with RCA. Glad I spent the extra time to get it working.

This instead of a 200ft HDMI cable? Yes, please!
It works great. Simple to set up. Simple to use. Maintains picture quality as far as I can tell (I'm just not that guy, sorry). I bought it to use my big screen TV as my second monitor for my PC. Worked like a charm.

Only worked for few days.
These units worked perfectly for few days before the distortion lines in the picture started and then became worse making it very hard to watch. I have to return the units.
