Q: What is the height of the houses? It reads 12 inches, but they do not look that big. Thanks.

Love this. Church steeple is the tallest at about 12 inches the other buildings are 9 to 10inches. Colors are beautiful.

Q: I just ordered a set! Any suggestions on little trees to pair with it ?

Target had some ceramic trees that I think would compliment this set. They were various colors and sizes from a collection called bulleye’s play ground. Dept. 56 has some really nice tall thin pine trees too that might work… I just display mine in my curio the way they are as I needed a collection for year round display.

Q: Are they open in the back? What are the dimensions of each piece?

There is an opening in the back of each piece. Each varies in size...maybe 6” wide. Going by memory. I really love it and when I put tea lights in each structure it so warm and gives a nice festive glow.

Q: What kind of lights do you use?

I use a long strand of battery operated mini white lights and it works really well
