Bosch Cool 4000 Portable AC - 3-in-1: Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier, Fan - 2.6 kW for Rooms of up to 35m² - With Auto Mode, Silent Mode & Sleep Mode

I worried how bad of review before purchasing it. But also saw and concern about good reviews for low noise and energy efficiency. Finally I could say good things is it. No need worry. It is great product on the kind of the portable AC. PRO is Low noise (compared with another brands and PORTABLE AC products / fast cool / energy efficient ( base on my consumption meter recorded. CON is not cheap. But worth it!

Perfect but expensive

We are in rented house, big issue is humidity about 85%. No ventilation, only electric, no gas. After installing this unit it's better humidity reduced to 40%. @21°C temperature as we use electric heater. Now the machine doesn't controle humidity %, it is just keep on. You need humidity controler plug to on and off to save energy bill. Our room is About 250sqft it removes 16 ltrs of water per day at 21°C also heats the room from its exust pipe. and consume 23 to 30KW/day. Which include 1 times of wash and 1 times of drayer for 3 hours and 1 hour of 1kw cooking. and 3 heaters at 22°C. Bed room set it to 23°C, kitchen at 15°C and toilet at 16°C. And a big water heater. Mostly 3Kw or 4.5kw. I am not much happy with the unit. 1. This unit is not designed for dehumidifier they say 50Ltr/day but I get 16Ltr/day. 2. It dry only minimum 40% of humidity. 3. No control of % of humidity. It just run continuously. Definitely you need buy one more controler to save bills. 4. It's not smart unit. Which can save money. 5. Unit is expensive other cheaper options avilable at 5 in one smart wifi controled units . Which has heating, cooling and humidity control. Which has more capacity than this unit at this price. Which has more control, functionality and timer.

The air conditioner I returned had a serious noise problem and a cracked casing. I suspected it was a second-hand product. I bought it for 599, but it turned out that I could only get a refund of 499.

The remote control has got a problem in that it sometimes doesn’t want to work.

Not worth the money have a Bosch fitted air conditioner in Mallorca brilliant thought I’d buy this portable one for my home in Uk wouldn’t recommend noise and doesn’t cool very well hose out of window makes a hell of a noise thinking of sending it back but I threw box away 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

This air conditioning unit seems nicely effective - and has definitely been appreciated in the recent spell of warmer weather - though is rather large and heavy. The unit is wheeled, so can readily be moved round on one storey, but it’s bulky and weighty enough that it’s not something I would want to be lugging up and down stairs to use. This is a bit different from other portable air con units I have used, in that the cooled air comes out of a flap on the top that opens in use and closes when switched off. This can also be set to a ‘swing’ mode so that the flap tilts up and down adding an extra element of circulation to its processes. The unit has soft touch buttons on it that are easy to use, as well as a neat, decent quality remote control. It’s easy to adjust settings for temperature, fan speed, silent/sleep mode, etc, thanks to controls that are well laid out and largely intuitive. The pipe is inbuilt and doesn’t require any fiddly installation. This is quite quiet when it’s first started, then gets noisier as it starts to kick into gear bringing room temperature down. Once it has cooled a room down and is ticking over it becomes quieter again, and silent mode is nothing more than a hushed whisper. This is a very effective unit that makes an appreciable difference to the room it’s in within minutes - much to the joy of our dog, who has been finding the current spell of 30 degree plus warm weather very hard to tolerate. The unit has a plastic housing with matte white parts over most of the body and shiny black ones around the control panel. Slightly annoyingly, the latter show fingerprint smudges easily. It’s good that this is a multifunctional unit, with inbuilt fan and dehumidifier as it is rather a sizeable hunk of plastic to be single use - and far too big/heavy for us to manage storing it in the loft during the cooler months.
