Has anyone ever attached this to a Honda HR-V?

I've had this on my Jeep Wrangler and my wife's 4 Runner. It fits both fine. It can be cinched down to fit any size opening. It is very versatile.

can the rear hatch be closed with tent attached? if going on a hike

Never tried it but I believe you could by removing the lower tent material on the hatch and then closing it.
