MELASTA 6400mAh Li-ion Battery Fit For Roomba Robotic 500 600 700 & 800 Series[Strict cells selection with UL,CE]

First time I used it, it said charging error 1 which iRobot says is because I have a counterfeit battery. So I removed the battery and installed it again. Now it works great. Lasts much longer than the OE one.

We have one of the 500 series Roombas, which had been through a couple of standard batteries. They lost charge quickly and it could barely do one room.Now with this battery ... WOW. Our Roomba can do one room, two rooms, three rooms ... four. A whole floor of the house. AMAZING difference.I was concerned that it wouldn't fit - it does - or it wouldn't charge right - it does. Sure, the light goes to amber and then red but that Roomba keeps going.

Easy to install

We'd used the NiMh batteries in the past, but this beats them hands down.There were no problems with the Roomba registering the battery unlike some of the other reviews. We left it charging for 24 hours before trying it out. The full charge lasted far longer than the NiMh battery we had previously.It's early days but this seems to be a winner.

Our roomba was charging for a few minutes then charging stops and a "Charging Error 5" message is heard. I called the roomba support and after cleaning up all the terminals and metal charging contacts they told me that a new battery is required.I decided li-ion would be a good replacement and paid the extra pound and got this big 6400mAth. Fitted in our 530 model straight away (was a bit tight but it fits). It's been running for a week but how long it will last, time will tell and I will update this review.

Swapped out the old battery and replaced with this one. iRobot roomba 780. At first it worked well, as good as new for a couple of days. However suddenly roomba stopped mid operation. I placed it on the charger but error code 5, warning light and battery light all started flashing at the same time. The battery light was flashing red quickly. After a check with manufacturer and forums it became clear this wasn’t a machine problem, put the old battery back in and everything worked again (albeit for a short time and the reason I bought a new battery). Maybe I got a bad one but i’ve sent it back. This seemed a really good deal, especially as it was lithium ion but none of the original manufacturers batteries are and so I think it might just be safer going with the standard battery type Ni-Mh

Works very well. Breathed new life into my Roomba 564. Direct replacement and charges as normal. Cleans for an hour in my 1 room studio flat and returns to base. May require a reset (see manual or online) after installing but once done it's perfect. Don't buy cheap Ni-mh or NiCad batteries as they wont last long at all. Spend a bit extra and get the proper Li-ion batteries and it will be good for years.

A couple of screws, out came the old battery, the new one fitted perfectly. Early days but seems very powerful & has given new life to the Roomba.
