Intense sap scent- still works great for both aromatherapy & massage!
So far, so good.Does it stimulate the CB2 receptors in the ECS?Prooobably....?But please do not let anybody tell you that the effects are equal to CBD. They are simply not in the same league, in my experience so far*.That said, this is very soothing, especially when used in a bubbling diffuser, or mixed into a carrier oil for massage- and the massage option is VERY appealing to anyone athletic!I ave also heard that a friend of mine mixed 2 drops into virgin coconut oil to eat.He said that 2 drops were fine, but the effects were minimal, and any more than 2 drops made him feel worse, not better.I'm not sure that SVA markets this for internal use, so I'll have to tell my friend what they say if they comment on this review ¯\(ツ)/¯Still, hemp oil (CBD oil) can be used in much the same way, with apparently farther reaching health benefits, which are becoming far better understood because of the many years of European research, and would support domestic production in the USA, instead of sourcing this oil from the sap of a tree in Brazil. However, I am probably still quite biased, after having used many different CBD brands & gotten very consistent results over many years.*I will use this bottle to the last drop, and evaluate it again, while trying to minimize my bias by cutting out all hemp-derived products as much as possible. I promise.Thank you SVA for making this testing option so affordable!

Use to repel spiders
I absolutely HATE spiders. We have readamy different "old wives tales" about ways to repel spiders, most that seem not to work.Tried this peppermint, several drops moxed with water in a small spray bottle, and it does the trick.

Refreshing!
I recently purchased a side by side townhome, and sadly share vents with my neighbor. Meaning, I can smell their smells, and they smoke indoors. I hate it. Had I known, I never would have bought this townhome. I was on a hunt for remedy, and read online about using essential oils. I place a few drops on a cotton ball, wedge it in my vents and am very thankful my new home smells much more fresh and clean. I purchased the eucalyptus, peppermint, and lemon. The peppermint works best battling the smoke smell, but the other two I find very refreshing!

Maybe a hint of coffee
Update: I have returned to give this product 4 stars instead of 3 because my coffee salve is quite popular. After it hardened and cooled, the coffee scent is very evident, smooth and fresh. I am only giving it 4 stars though because it takes over half the bottle to make 17 1oz tins of salves have a coffee scent and the dropper insert doesn't work and needed removed in order to get any oil out. I will probably buy againI can get a coffee smell from it in the bottle and when put directly on my hands. My husband says it smells like "Folgers or cheap coffee." I had to pull the dropper insert out in order to get the oil out. I bought it to enhance the coffee smell for homemade salves, however, I used a little over half of the bottle in a recipe for 17 tins of salve and there was absolutely no coffee scent in them from it. It's very dark so I was worried about pouring the whole bottle in.

Smells amazing!
Smells absolutely amazing! I think I found a brand that is actually as good as it says it is! I hope the smell last, works well and is good as it seems to be! Good packaging, and I really like how they protected it from leaking by placing a stopper in it before just screwing on a lid. Also comes with the dropper cap that you can screw on.

Love it
I hope it work for what I’m using it for, I’ll update in a couple of months. The smell isn’t bad I’m just trying to get use to smelling it, it’s not greasy or oily. 4/24…..I love that it’s strictly one ingredient.

Good but a little pricey
3.5 stars, rounded down (again) Since the system won't let me, this is a review for their widly overpriced nutmeg oil. And I have a similar opinion to their patchouli. Overpriced, but still this brand offers some oils that very often I have had to send back, from other brands, while SVA products fall within the acceptable range. So, I guess theirs at least have some scent. But overall not completely satisfied. One thing is for sure, I won't buy their nutmeg oil again, unless they lower the price under $20. This brand has some really nice oils, but this wildly overpriced nutmeg falls short of expectations, at least at this price. / 3.5 stars, rounded down. (Note: Their Eucalyptus oil, which I also recently bought for the first time, is nothing short of amazing, but Amazon redirects that review to this one... anyway) Considering how many bad patchouli oils I have bought before, this is a very decent option. But taking the over-twenty-dollars price tag into account, it falls a little short of expectations. It certainly smells like patchouli, but is not the crisp and sweet earthy smell I was expecting at this price range. Also, it could be a little less dilluted. I mean, all oils are, unless you are paying the premium for the pure thing. So, while it manages to deliver a decent enough scent for me to buy again, I can't help but feel they could do better with either the price or the quality. The thing is the scent doesn't last too long and the smell of the oil, right of the bottle, is not very inviting. Once applied to the skin or a diffuser, the smell is very nice. it The truth is, there aren't many decent patchouli options out there, so at least this is a safe bet. I do see myself buying it again, begrudgingly, because the brand I like has been out of stock for a long while. I would have given it 4 stars if the price had been under twenty... even 5 stars if it had been at that price but less dilluted... maybe I didn't get the best batch. I guess I'll find out when I get the next bottle. So, yes, go ahead, pay the premium and get something that doesn't smell like patchouli with pinesol and eucaliptus, like the last brand I got!!
