Q: I have v small pans for sauces, and all the illustrated heat diffusers, but none reduce the heat enough to stop boiling over. Will this do the job?

If I set the gas on low with this diffuser I can normally achieve a slow simmer or rolling boil. Sometimes the contents don’t reach a boil. It’s great for slow cooked porridge. I would consider the pan I used to be small. I have been very pleased with this diffuser.

Q: I have a ceramic stove. i wondered if i can cook with my stoneware pots if i use this heat defusser. is any one know about this please? thank you

I bought this to use on gas ring and it’s very good. There is 2 different sides , one for gas and one for ceramic . I would recommend this item.

Unfortunately, I don't have an induction hob. But I use my Simmer mat diffuser to have the opposite effect, in other words, to effect a slow simmer and it works well for that. The name would also suggest it may not do what you require. I realise that's not very helpful.
