The material is heavy duty so it will protect your expensive leather if you need to carry boxes or other items that may cause wear and tear. If you have a new sedan like me, the extra straps are useless. Modern cars have the rear bench molded into the interior. I use the head rest straps to hold up the seat cover and that is about it. But I don't intent to carry people. I would expect for SUVs and perhaps older vehicles the straps would work better. The size is perfect for a mid-size to smaller vehicle. It barely covers my rear seat and my car is mid-sized. The scent is interesting. The cover has a heavy petroleum solvent pistachio scent. I like it as it gives you a new car type smell. But mothers with young children or some pet owners may want to air the cover out for a few weeks. I can carry my rifle cases on the rear seat and not worry about scuffs and tears. Plus if I want to impress the cover comes out in seconds. For the money it does what I want. If I want tailored seat covers, they don't make them for my car.

it really is this material is as thing as rayon and when it comes to the over all build you would expect a lot more from dickies but this seat cover is flimsy and way oversized even in the smallest size, how is it waterproof I have no idea, when I installed it it look like a garbage bag over my seat and not a really good one king of something you would get from the dollar store, I like to say it was a good purchase but no its actually very very cheap
