Description

The ThriftyVac® Check Valve is an industrial-grade check valve adapted to work with both the ThriftyVac® Housing and the ThriftyVac® Mason Jar Lid. It handles both air and liquids and resists pressures as high as 300 KPa (approximately 3 atmospheres). The ThriftyVac® Check Valve is sold mainly for those users interested in building their own custom food packing applications, or as replacements parts. The ThriftyVac® Check Valve features a barb on the inlet stem to facilitate engagement with mating components, and a trapezoidal-shaped exhaust port for mating with vacuum pumps. The ThriftyVac® Check Valve comes with an O Ring pre-installed on the inlet stem. This O Ring is only needed for use with the ThriftyVac® Mason Jar Lid and may be removed when vacuum packing food bags. The O Ring comes pre-lubricated with food-grade silicone O Ring grease which is necessary when used on the ThriftyVac® Mason Jar Lid. The ThriftyVac® Check Valve is sold in groups of five.
