PIT66 3rd Brake Light Compatible with 2004-2008 Ford F150

This is the first aftermarket automotive part I have ever bought that was plug a play. What I mean by that is this plug hooked right up to the plug inside my vehicle. But there’s a trick you have to look inside the opening that the light goes into. You’ll see two white pins. You have to push those pins through the hole to get to the electrical connector. It will take you a few minutes. It took us 10 minutes and we unplugged the old light and plugged in the new light and it works perfect. On a sidenote, I have never ever been able to buy an aftermarket part, especially electrical and have hook up with no issue except for this one and this one works.

This was the correct replacement for my truck. Easy to install. The only thing better would be if the bulbs came with it. Had to go buy bulbs. Good quality material. Saved a lot of money compared to buying at auto supply store.

I have a 2005 ford F150. The harness IS COMPATIBLE, despite the other reviews. NO SPLICING WIRES. Under the metal lip in the top right side you will see two white plastic pins. Break them or push them in. They hold in the clip for the harness, and you will not be able to reach the harness clip otherwise. Be aware it can be surprizingly difficult (expect to curse a few times), but once its pushed in or snapped off its quite litterally plug and play. If you are confused on this- there is a youtube video a mid-aged dude made showing how to do this. Dont fool yourself. Use google if you dont understand my explanation. Light works great, and was easy to install otherwise.

Easy replacement. The only downside was getting that wiring loom loose from the plastic clip which once removed, the connector came out about 3 more inches from the frame. Light works just like the original. Very satisfied.

Great product overall, matched the OEM assembly very closely. Was kind of a pain to install, but thats a ford problem, not the sellers issue. After fighting with wires in a cramped space i got them loose and got the new assembly plugged in. It worked great! It is a true plug and play option for a 2007 ford f150 5.4l xlt. The foam seal smashes down and forms a water tight fitting, just dont be like me and overtighten your screws without letting the foam heat up a bit. With heat it smashes down easier, and will save you from cracking ever so slightly around the tightened holes. The brightness is great, and in my opinion a step up from the OEM setup. Only gripe is there is a clear coat on the plastic i’d recommend hitting with meguiar’s PlastX, and finishing off with a quick wax as a protectant(or a ceramic wipe if you have that option). Overall would recommend buying.
