The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the uni 8K USB-C to DisplayPort Cable with my MacBook Pro and Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor, and it works flawlessly. This fixed the resolution issue my Mac Book Pro Intel laptop had with the Samsung Odyssey G-9 so I now have 5k pixture vs 3k. Thank goodness I nearly returned the monitor because my laptop could not otherwise use the monitor to its full and intended capacity.This sub $20 cable saved a $1.5k purchase dicision that came in a HUGE box that I wasn't even sure how to return if I had to! That's why I am adding my review hoping it will help the next person.This cable plugs directly into my laptop so no converters, that may lower the throughput, were nessisary as they otherwise would be because Macs are now exclusively usbc connectors. Took a tense 1-3 minutes to get the laptop and the monitor to talk to each other after plugging the cables in and selecting the correct source. Then took a few toggles to get the settings correct on the displays to make it work perfectly as expected.This cable was delivered fast, feels high quality, and delivers on its promise of DP 1.4 high to USB-C and 5K resolution.Highly recommend to anyone needing to connect a laptop to a gaming monitor and get 5K resolution.

I used the cable for about 3 months of ordinary use. I connected my monitor and laptop and never had a need to move or bend the cable. After that time it stopped working. I checked my hardware by running system tests provided by my laptop and monitor manufacturers and there were no problems. I bought another cable from a different manufacturer and my monitor is now working. That proves it was a faulty cable. I don't recommend this product.

Will be returning this cable. Was looking for bidirectional cable for my monitor — and couldn’t find in the description. I took a gamble and bought this cable, but it has to go back.

Connected to mac and samsung neo g9. Runs 5120x1440 flawlessly but i mostly do a dual setup so it runs 4k @ 120hz. No problems, ever.
