I eat in my room pretty often, so food odors can linger for a while. This has honestly been a lifesaver. It does take some time to remove the odor, so don’t expect it to work instantly, but after giving it some time I notice a big difference and my room smells much cleaner. I also like that it’s fragrance free instead of just covering the smell with another scent.

I originally bought this for my laundry room, which had developed a mysterious “funk” that no amount of cleaning seemed to completely defeat. I put one of these in there, and I’m happy to report that the funk has officially been evicted. 😂 The photo shows what it looks like after 3 full months of use, and there is still plenty of gel left! I honestly expected it to be long gone by now, so the fact that it lasts this long is a huge bonus. I also really love the scent. It’s pleasant without being overpowering, and most importantly, it actually works. My laundry room no longer smells like a place where dirty socks go to plot against me. After seeing how well it worked, I bought more for other rooms in the house to help with those lovely little reminders that we have dogs. 🐶😂 They’ve made a noticeable difference with the dog smells too. And the price? Extremely affordable. But the best part is that you’re not sacrificing effectiveness for the low price. These things work, last a long time, and smell great. I’m definitely keeping these around.

I can’t tell if it’s working, so im going to give it four stars for now. I put it in my cats room, so that’s a LOT of stink that it would have to combat. I think for general house smell, this is a great solution. I keep my cats room pretty clean. You can’t tell I have a cat in my house unless you go into his room where his bed and litter box are. It does not smell like anything. It’s a decent natural solution given the charcoal. It’s still going strong and I have had it for a while, so I would say the quantity is decent too! It doesn’t seem to be irritating my cat. It’s an easy lightweight solution to leave your space smelling fresh overall! If you want something scented, there is a scented version, but I don’t recommend scents if you are putting it around babies or pets.

I never thought I would write a review for an air freshener. :) But this thing is so great that I put it on "subscribe and save". The fragrance is very subtle, but somehow it has taken away the smell in the basement where the cat litter box is. It is not an overpowering perfumey smell, it is very subtle lavender. I have no idea how it works, all I know is after it worked so well in the basement, I put them in the bathrooms too. I guess the only downside is that it is kind of big - like the size of a one pound container at the deli. So it may not suit everyone's needs if they don't have a good spot for it. Its just a tub of gel, that slowly goes down as it evaporates.

Great getting rid of any smell, but doesn't smell like lavender--only bad perfume.

I purchased these to help freshen up my dad's house while I was there doing a deep clean. He's older, lives over 12 hours away from me, and has a hard time keeping up with household chores, so I'm only able to help him with a major cleaning about once a year. I was really happy with how well these worked in smaller rooms. They noticeably freshened the air and helped those spaces smell much cleaner. In the larger areas of the house, I didn't notice as much of a difference. That said, the odors in the home were pretty substantial, so I don't think that's necessarily the product's fault. Those larger spaces likely needed more than a gel odor eliminator alone to fully address the smell. Overall, I think this is a good product for bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, or other smaller spaces where you want a little extra odor control. It definitely served its purpose in those areas, and I'd consider buying it again for similar uses.

There aren't many choices that actually work when products say "odor eliminator" but this actually works! This lasted for over 2 months and it made a drastic difference in the main bathroom in my home. Bathrooms are notorious for not smelling so good. But this helped neutralize odors. I have to admit it doesn't help if someone just used the bathroom but that bad smell doesn't linger long with this gel odor eliminator. Some people use scented sprays for bathrooms but it's true that some sprays just cover up odors and once the scented spray disappears, the room smells bad again. Also some people just don't like certain scents. The Amazon Basics Gel Odor Eliminator is a safe bet to keep your bathroom smelling like nothing!

This odor eliminator does work, but don’t expect instant results. At first I wasn’t sure it was doing much because it took longer than I expected to notice a difference. After giving it some time, though, the odor noticeably improved and I was pleased with the results. I’d recommend it, just with the expectation that it may take a little while to really do its job. If you’re patient with it, it works!
