Works with Intel X710-DA2
I purchased this to use with an Intel X710-DA2 (Dell G54KD, dated 05/2021) in a Debian 13 test system before deploying to Proxmox/pfSense. Setup: โข Intel X710-DA2 (i40e driver, firmware 8.40) โข Ubiquiti Flex 2.5G PoE switch with 10G SFP+ uplink โข 0.5m passive DAC Results: The cable was accepted immediately by the X710 with no firmware flashing or modification required. Both ports negotiated cleanly at 10G full duplex. ethtool reports 10000Mb/s and link stability has been solid. I also tested a loopback between both ports on the X710 using this DAC and both sides linked at 10G instantly. No compatibility warnings, no unsupported module messages, no negotiation issues. If youโre running an Intel X710 and worried about vendor coding drama, this DAC worked perfectly in my case without touching firmware. Also worked between two Ubiquiti Flex 2.5G switches!
