WYNNS Hydraulic Valve Lifter Treatment

This is a tough one.....My old 116,000 mile petrol Berlingo sounded tappy. A mate said the hydraulics tappetts were the problem - probably sticking. Doing the job in a garage would be uneconomical. So I put this in and drove car to Spain. The noise bis still present BUT the car seems more responsive on the throttle. It accelerates better AND my mpg has got slightly better. The engine purrs along better SO I must conclude that it has been a good thing.I would have felt even better if the tapping noise had gone - but heyho you can't always get what you want (Rolling Stones)It certainly did not do any harm and it does make the car better to drive. On that basis I am happy.ALSO, I put some in my Mini COOPER with 93,000 miles which was also noisy when cold. Exactly the same result, still noisy on start up BUT mpg got better and engine picked up better - so all in all it's WYN WINWould I buy it again - YES!

Ticking noise from top of engine possibly a sticky hydraulic lifter, added some Wynn's treatment and drove the car for a few hundred miles with no discernible improvement. Perhaps it needs a bit longer to work. Beginning to think it may be noisy injector. Unfortunately didn't improve my problem but it was worth a go.

I knew of this 'stuff' years ago, but never needed to use it. However, when I bought my current car, I noticed it had some noisy tappets. So, I changed the oil & filter, added the Wynns and waited to see if it worked. In MY case, it HAS made a difference. The engin HAS become quieter and it seems to run better. Result!!NOTE, it's NOT an instant fix; I've done about 2000 miles since adding the Wynns, and it IS now quieter.I would use it again. ( My car is a 2002 Suzuki Wagon 1.3litre with 39,000 miles on the clock.)

I have used this product before, so have no reservations about buying again. I have a camper van that is now 17 years old and the engine was getting a bit noisy on he top end. As it has hydraulic valve lifters I used this product to see if it would help and it did a great job.The only thing that hasn't been mentioned in the description is the amount of oil that his bottle will treat. I can tell you that it is 3-6 litres.

Seemed to do the job, tapets allot more quiet. Worked within 5 mins

Unfortunately after using this product there was no discernable difference, I don,t know whether the wear was too great but it didn't improve the "tapping" at all...I suppose it was worth trying but I wouldn,t buy this product again

It quietened a tapping hydraulic tappet for a few days but then it came back. Noise is a bit less now but still there. So maybe it works a bit. Hard to tell.

Arrived quickly,it did make the engine sound quieter.
