Allows some running with Achilles Tendinitis
I ran my first 50 mile race and returned to training too soon. I developed some Achilles Tendinitis. I decreased my weekly mileage, backed off speed runs, and wore this strap on easy runs. Within a few weeks I recovered nicely and I am slowly increasing my mileage again. It works to reduce tension through the tendon while running and I had much less pain during and after runs. So yes, the products works.Only minor negatives are that the edges of the Velcro straps began to unravel and fray after a couple of weeks. I would also say that the sizing is off a bit with the fact that I’m a large frame male and I bought the small… the Velcro straps overlap even with the small. If in doubt, get the small.

It's fine but cheaply made
This is fine. The velcro works, and the small is plenty big unless you have really large ankles. But the materials feel very cheap, there's a very little padding, it takes a bit to arrange it so that the hard side of the velcro isn't rubbing your skin. I think maybe it helps my achilles feel better when I'm working out, but I don't notice a big difference. The main reason I marked it down is it is definitely not worth more than 8 or 10 dollars, and I paid 14. Don't do that. Buy it if you think you need it, but do not pay more than 8 or 10 bucks.

Good purchase
This does exactly what I need for my Achilles tendinitis. I love that it is very simple and to the point.

Velcro doesn’t hold up long. In use for several days and velvlcro deteriorates
The support is definitely helpful but don’t count on the strap lasting very long. Significant improvements could be made. I would pay more for improved, more durable strap

So far, so good
About a year ago, my running was interrupted by very severe Achilles tendonitis. Even walking was painful and I took seven weeks off from running. Had two physical therapy sessions with my HMO which were a complete waste of time. Tried a TENS/EMS unit on my own for awhile and tentatively returned to running, slowly increasing mileage to test how much load the tendon could take. At this point, I'm back to ten- and twelve-mile training runs while using the Crosstrap. I can tell the tendon isn't completely healed but the discomfort isn't rising above pain level one or two. Ran a 12K this morning and it went fine. Looking forward to a half marathon early next month. At the very least, the Crosstrap affords me some level of confidence that the tendon won't be reinjured while I'm on the road.In the photo, the Crosstrap is worn over a compression sock on my left foot. The sock is to balance out the one I'm wearing on my right foot because of plantar fasciitis but that's a whole other story.

Rips easy
Works well, but the gel pack ripped within a week. Wish it would’ve lasted longer.

Immediate relief!
This is my first review, felt like I needed to write one for this product because if it helps 1 person buy these they won’t regret it.I tore my left Achilles 6 years ago, I now have tendinitis. And I have Achilles tendinosis in my right. Braces provided me immediate relief in both.Usually at the end of the day, both Achilles feel run down and tired. I didn’t have that for the first time in a long time. Not bulky and easy to wear with regular clothes. I’ve been wearing them over my socks just to avoid any kind of irritation it might have directly onto my skin.Sizing is kinda big, I got a small and the straps almost wrap around to the front. So I wouldn’t stress about the sizing so much. These were a total game changer for me.

Very good, bit pricey
Saw this on Amazon.com, the American site. T was not very dear. Couldn't find it in Europe, so I paid nearly €50 for it. Shipping fees, import duties etc.Works well on my heel/achilles tendon pain. Hoping it will wear well.

Velcro wears out too soon
Only rating it a 4 because the Velcro is wearing out so soon.

Amazing, like magic
I was looking at super expensive braces for the Achilles tendonitis but decided to see if this unobstrusive and fairly inexpensive gizmon would work. Did it ever, she has bad tendonitis from competitive soccer and now she can both prevent and treat it easily. My achilles tendon was sore and might have kept me up at night but i put it on and within a minute felt instant relief. Cannot recommend enough, it's worth a try!

May or may not purchase??
I liked how I could adjust the tension for my Achilles. What I didn’t like is that for the price I thought I was getting 2 straps not 1!
