Just got this and it seems to work pretty well so far. I’m told I have fine straight hair, but a lot of it. Personally, I don’t think it’s a lot and I do see thinning as I get older. One problem I have is my hair just falls flat all the time and ponytails tend to fall out. This product is working well. It’s easy to use. I just pulled my hair up, kind of stuck the thing in the middle and wrapped the ponytail holder around it and my hair. I did put a thicker cloth ponytail holder over it just because I preferred the look of it for the day and I wanted to make sure it is secure. I have had it in all day and have been doing yard work and heavy cleaning and it is still perfectly in place and looks cute. It’s not noticeable at all and is perfectly comfortable. It is small, so I can imagine it may not work well for someone with really thick hair. But it works for me. After trying a few products that claim to give your pony a lift, this is the only one I can say works at all for me.

Didn’t work for my hair type. Wouldn’t stay put. It looks weird so wouldn’t want it falling out of my hair in public. (Course thick long hair.)

Okay, here's the scoop. I couldn't find the ponytail hair bump that I bought years ago. I probably couldn't find it because I had only used it once, as it was too large for my fine hair. It would make my ponytail go sky high and look like the one in "I Dream of Genie!" So I started researching on Amazon and found this product. You really can't tell its size from the photos. After reading the reviews, some customers complained it was too small, which I figured would be a good thing for me. Then I found some reviews written by customers who also have fine hair, and those people loved it. Well, add me to the list of customers who LOVE it! It is PERFECT for fine hair! It looks great, very natural and is quite comfortable (read, I can't feel it at all). To get an idea of how fine my hair is, my silk hair tie has to be twisted three times for a ponytail. Wearing this product, the same tie is only twisted twice, thereby giving me the exact amount of enhanced ponytail volume that I wanted. I couldn't be happier. PS: The price is right, too.

It does what it’s meant to do but it is extremely small, much smaller than expected. My thumb is bigger 😅 Pro of it being so small is that it’s definitely discreet but due to its very small size it makes the ponytail look unnatural, especially if you have thin long hair. So, if you have thick short hair, this’ll work for you.

I was surprised to find that this little gizmo really works. It was also easy to use ... another surprise. It definitely keeps my ponytail lifted and with a fatter circumference. Only negative is that it's pretty expensive for a tiny silicone plug.

I love putting my hair in a high pony tail. I like watching it swing while I am running and it makes me look younger and brighter. I have thin hair and wanted a fuller pony tail and option to do half pony tail. I insert from the bottom of my pony tail and wrap my hair around this holder and use a hair tie. You do need a little bit of hair to use this so that your hair covers the holder. It may be noticeable if you have little hair. Then you can do a lower pony tail and cover the top part with hair. It does not hurt and very easy to use. Wished they would make it in in brown, black, blond color instead of white. It would just hide easier.

It’s too tiny. I feel bamboozled, lol. I’m not going to go through the hassle to return it though. I’ll keep it for a half a ponytail look. Or I’ll just gift it to my small niece. The photos are misleading. If you really want that exaggeration of a bold pony look, don’t buy this product. I’m a stylist. The product is not hard to use. It’s just too tiny to make a ponytail thick. Save your energy and money. I just gave the thing two stars because I felt bad giving it only one.

I don’t have crazy thick hair, but whenever I do a ponytail or even a bun, the tension from my scalp gives me a headache. Enter this thingymabob! I’ve purchased multiple times because I keep misplacing it, and I just can’t live without it anymore! Giving my pony a thicker and perkier look is an added bonus, but really, the real gem here is allowing me to wear a ponytail and bun comfortably. If you’re a person who gets headaches or even just is overly sensitive to any pulling on your scalp, I highly recommend this. Makes a world of difference.
