How do these wash and iron?

I have bought these in ivory white and pale grey and, for the price, they are very good quality. I love the hidden zipper - ensures your pillow never bursts out as sometimes happens with regular cases with just a fold-in flap at one side. The AB cases wash well (I admit to putting them in a 40 degree wash whereas they recommend 30 degree) and even make-up and mascara marks (ashamed to admit to an occasional lazy bedtime regime!) seem to wash out without any need for a prewash. I also give mine a very light tumble dry for a couple of minutes on a light ‘delicate wool’ setting and then just shake them out and lay flat to fully dry. I rarely iron them - although a coolish iron would no doubt give them a smoother (possibly softer) finish.  I know the recommendation is to NOT tumble them because they say it affects the softness of the silk - I haven’t yet found this to be the case on the delicate wool setting - and I’ve now had mine for a couple of months. However I also have several pure silk pillowcases purchased from John Lewis (£35 each, so considerably more expensive) and the JL ones are, without doubt, far more luxurious, softer and silkier than those from Alaska Bear - but, as I said before, the AB cases are very good value for the price. Is the pillow case silk on both sides (some are cotton on one side) and is it just one case for £17.99?

Yes, silk both sides and only one case for £17.99, seems a lot but I do love mine and it washes fine in a washing machine then tumble dry.  No shrinkage, no loss of colour so far, but have only washed it 5 times.
