The concept of this product is sound but they used more than,sub par materials to construct the rod as it broke during practice swings with nothing but a bobber and a weight attached

Bought one as a Father's Day gift. Tips snapped off after about 3 hours of light casting. Ordered a replacement. Broke in two places with nothing more than a bobber and a weight. Do NOT recommend.

Awesome rod & reel! Brought is camping. Very convineintly fit in my backpack. Caught some fish too! Highly recommended!

I bought one of these from a big-box store and was amazed at how far it casted. I've never had a rod and reel setup that casts so far with so little effort. Truly shocking how far you can cast this thing. However within an hour the rod snapped in half and went flying across the river with my lure, and I really do mean across the river. The half of the rod that snapped off sailed clear across the river to the opposite bank. The only thing more impressive than how far this thing will cast is how impressive it is when it fails, which will happen sooner rather than later. If this design was made with much more expensive materials and they charged a lot more for it because they would have to because of the expensive materials and they could make the design where it wouldn't break after an hour of use or maybe even let's say a year of use? Then they would make a fortune because this design is a casting machine... you want to launch your lure over the horizon, not a problem! But you're probably also going to launch half your rod over there too... Amazing idea poor execution. If the manufacturer of this product is reading this make one out of better materials that costs more money and I'll buy it!!!

So easy to use! The telescopic feature makes it perfect for travel. Loved having this on our road trip in CO. Able to pull it out of the car and pull it out quickly--takes away all the hassle. Best part is never having to deal with tangled line.
