I was weary after some of the reviews but after coming to a conclusion people were only trying to charge it with the sun without plugging it in I could understand peoples confusion.It is a portable charger, you need to plug in to charge, it does charge in the sun but it will take longer than normal. Like it says on the instructions paper.Will recommend for sure! I have this one and my friend order the newer version where the flashlight is in a different area, we both love.Very easy to use, get value for money and flashlight is bright.

I would buy it again. Worked well for me.

It will charge your phone up to 3 times with just one of these Power Cells. And it will charge up to 3 devices at once such as 2 iPhones and and iPad for example and it comes with its own recharging cord. I have one of these for myself and have bought it twice more for two other friends to have back up charging power during power outages, as in the high heat of August and the cold of December-February our power company tends to hit us with outages on the grid. Nobody can be without their phone for long periods and without the ability to recharge it in a crisis, one can feel very disconnected from the rest of the world.This is lightweight, easy to use, and easy for someone who's non-tech to understand. I'm a senior citizen and I found it very simple to understand. I keep mine plugged in charging and then in a power outage I grab hold of it to charge my phone when my phone's battery goes down.
